    2 questions...

#1...What kind of beer? If its that American diet beer like Bud, Pabst, Miller or Coors, no big deal.

#2...over the span of what time? I can drink 6 beers in 2-3 hours no prob. So I guess about 12 in 5 hours...but if its some strong German or Belgian stuff, likely I am done at 6.

That is a lot of beer!!! The way you can tell if you're and alcoholic is to go without anything to drink for several days, and if you don't miss it you're fine. If you can't do that, you are well on your way to a bad habit which will no doubt lead to being an alcoholic. Alcoholics crave alcohol and cannot quit as a rule. Any kind of alcohol is also very bad for the liver. Best to take it easy and stay healthy.

    This is a trick question...

Someone who drinks twelve beers a night would be too drunk or hung over each day to make comprehensive decisions regarding the addictive nature of their habits. Honestly...

I figured that you deserved a serious response, since you are probably battling a horrendous headache while reading this.

Seriously, get off of the computer and go take some more Ibuprofen.
