What time should I go to Disneyland on New Years eve?
I am going to go to Disneyland on New Years Eve with my family and friends. I plan on going very early, about 8 AM, when the park opens. Unfortunately, my girlfriend won't be able to make it until 1 PM becuase of work. I've never been to Disneyland on the eve and heard people say that if the park is too crowded that they will stop new people from entering. Should my girlfriend cancel work to go? or should she just take a chance, and come at 1 PM. Keep in mind that her company does not want anyone to cancel unless it is an emergency.

Disneyland and WDW do what they call levels of capacity. The parks are always at a level 1 but busy days like NYE will hit level 4 (capacity)
I've been to the park on NYE where theyve closed the doors and wont let anyone in by noon.
Ive also been there where they were still letting people in at 11pm.
Its her call. Id say if she was a big enough disney fan this is an emergency....KIDDING! =-)
but what id do is if you dont already have your tickets BUY THEM NOW!! and if you carry hers with you and not vice versa, dont exit thepark to give it to her, slip it through the gate near the newstand and give it to her, because if its event close to capacity, you exiting may not get you back in.
like someone said, its on a monday, so everyone that may be coming might be coming at the same time as her. so just hope for the best!
another note- if it does hit capacity, it will most likely re open later one due to people with young children thinking they can make it til midnight when they are zonked out by 10pm and they just end up leaving. so if she does find herself not able to get in, hang around downtown disney and just keep checking in at the front gate.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I would say that Disneyland on New Years Eve is not an emergency, however she would have to make the final call.
But I can tell you that Yes you can expect them to implement closures at some point in the day. In past years I know that the first thing they do is stop selling tickets. This usually will happen anywhere from late morning to early afternoon. So you should at least get her ticket when you get yours in the morning. Then when she arrives you can meet her outside the gates(remember to get a handstamp and keep your ticket with you also) to give her hers and then go back into Disneyland.
Now, if they do stop new addmissions this will probably happen anywhere from early afternoon to early evening depending on the exact crowds. So there is a possibility that at 1pm it is already full. However, since this is a Monday where a lot of people are working it will probably(but not guaranteed) be closer to the evening when this occurs.
Now this is for the Disneyland side. California Adventure can also become full, but this generally happens after Disneyland becomes full.

This is a tough call. Last year, tickets sales to Disneyland were stopped at 11AM. But last year NYE fell on a Sunday, which means more people had the day off. I would guess that Disneyland would not sell out as quickly, but there are no guarantees.
Anyways, I'm missing it this year. Vegas is calling.

i recommend you get there BEFORE it opens if you say its opening at 8 get there an hour or so beofre they open the gates. it will be way way crowded. i went on a normal day and it took sometime to get through the lines. Have fun though. oh and about your girlfriend ; this isnt really an emergency unles your gonna like propose or something haha lol. okay but like have her just come at one. they gates will probably have died down some since its like 5 hours after them opening she should be okay just meet her at the entrance or something. Have fun.!
oh watch the fireworks! there fun lol

If it jeopardizes her job than she should go to work. Have you ever heard of them stopping people in the history of the park before? Or is this just a rumor?
