Why do Scotsmen wear kilts?

The Scottish practice of kilt wearing is actually a throw back to the days of Rodney of Pink who setup the first Scottish parachute regiment in 1286. Parachute technology was very primitive in those days and consisted of the dress like kilt and provided just enough wind resistance to make being fired out of a ballista survivable. This property of the skirt or Kilt as it later became known was first discovered by Glaswegian party goers throwing transvestites from church steeples. Since that time it has become the preferred attire of generations of ginger haired Northern poofters.

Because more than anything else, Scots are traditionalists. And, in the old Gaelic cultures, wearing pants was for slaves and sissies.

But, it does help them sneak up on the sheep. Zippers didn't come into popularity until the 2nd World War. Sheep really are dumb. But even the dimmest ewe is going to supsect something's up if a dram driinking shepherd spends too long behind her fumbling with buttons.

My brother in law is Scottish and he and my sister live in Glasgow. He wears his kilts to all family functions. He really blew my mind when he wore it to our family reunion!!!! A whole lot of people enjoyed that one ~ he got picked on, called a sissy and other horrible names all day.

Scots are true traditionalists. During Gaelic times that was what men wore. Scots believe in keeping traditions alive and so they wear the kilt.

They are quite expensive and you have to have the bag that goes with it and all the bells and whistles. My brother in laws kilts are made from wool of the family colors.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think they are quite sexy. Especially with the long socks, special shoes and the jackets and white shirts and bow ties.

I love a man in a kilt (as long as he is Scottish).

Not all Scotsmen wear kilts.In the north the influence is from the Norse invaders and they wore trousers.

Another reason they don't all wear kilts is the cost,£500 for

I really can not imagine-You tickle me in a weird way.I just can't imagine having to work all day with my A** in the wind. I have to much bending over to do and it's alot of trouble-plus I fall down a lot and it's not very Lady like.I do have a cute little Nurse's Skirt I wear on occasion-but it's on a Day when we are not so busy.I have to be very careful though that's for sure.

Wonder where that Frisky squirrel is I'm sure he can tell you something really Special?
