Tanka Poem: Allowing Deep Sleep?

Here is the poem. consider this poem as a kind of koan, or to look at it meditatively. Then after you've contemplated it, perhaps it inspires one of your own as an answer?

Allowing deep sleep

a liquid pool engulfs me

dissolving my parts.

In dark unknown of pupae

a butterfly grows it’s wings.

Hmm...I'm not usually smart in interpreting these poems, but I can somewhat relate to what the poem is saying. Deep sleep is a state in our subconscious. "a liquid pool engulfs me dissolving my parts" : When I'm in deep sleep, I usually do not feel like matter. I'm present, but I'm not in a physical state. "In dark unknown of pupae a butterfly grows it's wings" : a fantasy world is created in deep sleep and begins to fly in whatever direction. I'm sorry if my answer is stupid; I tried. Though, this is a very nice poem.

Wow....it looks like I'm the only answerer again.
