Mystery cookbook /// need title & author.?

It's a large book, (tall & wide). & it has sections on world cooking by region. Published in the 1960's or late 50's. The Chinese section had sub-sections, (with recipes), entitled:

"Shellfish & pork unusually prepared" ((recipes, e.g. Abalone & fish ball ball soup", Deep fried oysters in crispy batter, etc.),

Other sections are:

A collection of exotic dishes: "Fragrant & flavourful fish & meats": "Dishes planned for texture & taste": "Light sauces & dishes delicately seasoned": "Classic dishes of a varied cuisine": "Imperial influences on peasant food": "Tasty dishes of an ancient cuisine".

Please NO guesses.

If you need 2 points just say "hello".

Thanks, & have a great holiday, everyone.

Dan.

Update:

The large bookstores, (e.g. B&N. Daltons, etc.), and second hand meta seqarch sites, (e.g. abebooks, etc.), do not list their books by chapter title. I tried.

Update 2:

Thanks Rev... & Miss... I'll check out your suggestions.

The book has the only authentic Kung Pao chicken recipe I have ever found. (I've got between 40 & 50 Chinese coolbooks alone.) Found the book in the Halifax Canada Public Library years ago and photocopied 10 pages. (was a poor law student at the time).

Update 3:

Thanks cbg... It's not that book. Its copyright is 1980, and that book is not nearly as large as the book I seek. I have noticed that the spelling, in my photocopies, is British (or Canadian). I wish I had written down the title. Sigh.

But thank you for your efforts.

Dan.

I remember my Mom had a similar book- it might actually be the Betty Crocker International Cookbook or something very similar, you can see an image ( and order it if it is what you are looking for) at http://cgi.ebay.com/Betty-Crockers-International-C...

Keep looking on e-bay... that would be the best bet, I think as there are so many vintage books- you can also try www.usedbooksearch.co.uk as this may not be an american publisher, you may have better luck with the worldwide search!

Your best bet is to try Barnes & Noble or Boarders.
