With the death of Benazir Bhutto...?

Do you think this will cause a set back in women’s rights in Pakistan? Whether or not you liked her politics, she did bring Pakistan forward in women’s right to education, healthcare, etc.

Update:

olcaykar-turkey: I hope your predictions don't come true.

Not really. Look, women's rights are important, but they weren't her top priorites. She wanted to create a stable democratic government and then work on that. But that is far more a cultural thing then a government policy, so she would have had to wait a long time to see it change even if she worked at it.

It may actually push forward women's rights as her death may be a catalyst for change.

    Time will tell.

It could be what killed her, so I wouldn't be too optimistic that women's causes will continue at the pace they have been, up to now.
