Las Vegas?

I am going to Las Vegas for my 27th birthday, and I have only been there once before when I was 14, so I'd like some tips on things to do and see. I want to do some other things besides gambling, so if you know of any unique bars, shows, or locations I'd be happy to hear your suggestions.

What are some must see things?

Also this is the first vacation that my boyfriend and I will be taking together, so any tips for couples are greatly appreciated as well....thanks everyone!

You will never be bored in Las Vegas. Not only is it affordable, and very luxurious but full of activities. You don't have to gamble or have a lot of money to have a great time.

Here is a list of free attractions

    Hi--good 4 u. I am sure you will have a blast. : )

Things To Do in Las Vegas:

Mirage -decent volcano show at certain times

Bellagio Fountains -amazing water show , it's free, very crowded at certain times though, and the show is certain times of the day

Venetian Hotel/Casino -cool hotel. Moving skyway (looks like real clouds) in the hotel along with a river going through with gondola boats wear couples can go and have a boat ride.

    Caesar's Palace -neat hotel

THE STRIP -you can people watch and shop.

Luxor -The BEST hotel yet. Awesome structure and has an awesome Mexican restaurant. Go in one of the inclinators! lol

Paris Hotel/Casino-very neat hotel. They have an Eiffel tower thing just like the real structure in Paris France that you can take an elevator in (outside) and look over the city. It's only available if the winds are a certain condition, since it's an outdoor elevator.

Fremont Street Experience -lights and everything. It's cool. Be careful at night though, rough crowd.

Stratosphere -you will recognize it. Very tall pin-like needle hotel. They have rides at the top, and you can take an elevator (inside) and look at the amazing view on top (outside) There is also this fancy restaurant called THE VIEW

    Lake Mead / Hoover Dam

Source(s): I have been to Las Vegas 13 times since I was seven, and am now 15. I have also been to Laughlin, NV (90 minutes away once--it's were the older croud goes). I practically live in Vegas. I hope to go to UNLV. I also cry everytime I land at the McCaren International Airport (LAS or Las Vegas International Airport) seeing the strip through the window knowing I am in Paradise, and cry when I leave, though I do love my dog more than anything. You probably don't think that a 15 year old knows anything about the "Adult Playland" but I know more and enjoy Vegas more than most people think... ; )

Well, all of the hotels you have chosen are reasonably close to eachother and are at the south end of the strip, perhaps that is why you chose them. MGM Grand is one of my favorite hotels, I absolutely love that hotel. The rooms were amazing and comfortable, and most importantly (to me) the rooms didn't smell like smoke. The pool is amazing, the restaurants are great. I have never really seen any celebrities there except for Kurt Thomas and I assuming he was in Vegas because he was traded the day before :) It is the the last stop on the monorail on the south end and quickly connects you to the rest of the strip. New York New York has an amazing casino. I love everything about the ground floor. I have heard the rooms tend to be smaller at this hotel. Mandalay Bay is amazing. One of the Southern most strip hotels with mini monorail connecting to Luxor and Excalibur. The hotel in its entirety is amazing. Good pool. Luxor gives me vertigo, I will probably never stay there. But the clubs are good. LAX is popular for celebrity sitings. You may even see Carrot Top on any given day! : ) My pick: MGM grand!

Oh my goodness you two are going to have a great time. There is so much to do. See shows, walk the strip, shop, tours, restaurants and fun!!! I'm not sure where you are staying or if you've even booked your hotel, but you can get some really great deals online. Below are some sites that have helped me in the past. Enjoy your trip!!!

They have an Imax theater and that's something you should not miss. All the Imax shows are spectacular. It's in the pyramid.

I believe Circus Circus has circus acts and that's neat.

Cirque du Soleil has a permanent show in Las Vegas and that is spectacular also. I've added their link below for getting tickets which you should do NOW as it's THAT popular...

Go and see the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton (even if you don't like Star Trek...it's good fun). Hang out in the Luxor (it's way cool)...there's a theme park at MGM Grand.....Margaritaville across from the Bellagio (they have really big drinks...lol)...the (free) water show at the Bellagio....the (free) pirate show at TI (get there REALLY early.....there are big crowds). Take a walk in the Mirage...it's fun. See the topless show at the Tropicana....

And ask the front desk at your hotel for additional suggestions.

The most amazing thing to see is Cirque du Soliet show... Also, I would recommend going to the madam Tussuade's wax museum.
