Yahoo switched me to the NEO version of my groups. I went into the group I own, and tried to post a message to test how this version works and start to learn it as I suspect this will be put on ALL of us one of these days.

In group, I go to "conversations" which is the new word for messages and tried to post a new message. I get into topics tab under conversations and CANNOT get the 'new topic' button to work. I go into the messages tab under conversations and CANNOT get the 'new topic' button to work. So I looked for the 'help' link Yahoo usually puts so you can ask for help when things don't work, and there IS NO HELP button.

SO... how can I get help from Yahoo when the NEO version does not work ????

I was suddenly, unexpectedly a recipient of Yahoo Groups /neo/ version of my group home page. YESTERDAY - I was returned to the Classic version most members and moderators see. TODAY - I'm back on the /neo/ version of my group.

Some facets seem improved, but others are not.

If I click on "Feedback" on the lower left, I'm taken to TOS instead and NEVER shown any place to give feedback.

The other day I thought I could see "attachments" to email; today that's gone! Where is it?

And when I clicked on Terms which SHOULD have given me the TOS, I get "Page Not Found" for the url http://info.yahoo.com/terms/

Why doesn't Yahoo do beta testing?

Why doesn't Yahoo talk to group owners rather than dumping us unceremoniously, unannounced into a new version of /neo/ that slows down the system, and much of which doesn't work!

I'd be happy to beta test, but it should be informed testing, not dumping me into something with NO NOTICE!

Somewhere I read that you're supposed to be able to replace that top generic graphic, but I find NO WAY to do so!

WILL YAHOO TALK TO ME? WILL YAHOO GIVE VALID FEEDBACK / HELP LINKS? WHEN?

I asked how to get RID of Yahoo "neo" on my groups. It is not intuitive. Items are not placed where a normal human being who has joined Yahoo Groups would look for them. The functionality of the group is degraded under the /neo/ version.

One Yahoo staff member responded and tried to help me locate some of the items I could not find. I appreciate that greatly. This staff member also told me that Yahoo might delete my question on "How do I get RID of Yahoo /neo/ version of my group. If they do this, do you think they care about any of us? Is it fair to kill a post because they don't like what I have to say?

How do we get across to Yahoo management that they do have a good number of competent owners and moderators who would be willing to beta test before these changes are sprung on members of Yahoo. I have joined 2 excellent Yahoo groups of owners and moderators who try to help each other every time changes are sprung on us. Many of our group members are not techie types and a moderator beta test group could help Yahoo prevent damage to the reputation of Yahoo that occurs when they suddenly spring changes on the membership, because these changes are NOT functioning well. The classic group format was finally working pretty well. Don't they understand that "if it ain't broke, don't try to 'fix' it" ??? Yahoo has not put the /neo/ version of groups on large numbers of members, YET, but it is not in working condition and the 'help' files don't help, and we need the Yahoo staff member who responded to me to get across to Yahoo management that they need to use beta testers and they need to NOT force changes on us that do NOT work.

Can anyone help get the attention of top Yahoo Management?

How can we get them to learn what we liked?

How can we get them to care and give us what we want, not what they mistakenly think we want?

Do they listen?

Or will they simply kill my message instead of being constructive?

I have copies of my messages archived, so please help me learn how to contact Yahoo management.

I have been having problems with my Yahoo Group. Now I have learned that several group members are still viewing the group in the same format as before. The difference is that, which I input the original URL for Yahoo groups, or even for my email, Yahoo alters it and adds /neo/ and what I see is different from what others see.

I HATE WHAT NEO DOES TO THE GROUP WEBSITE. How can I get RID of it ???

Today when I went to my Yahoo Group to view photos being discussed in a message, the formatting of my group was TOTALLY TRASHED. I don't think it's an accident. I think Yahoo has changed the format of our Yahoo Groups and the command line is altered to show /neo/ as part of the URL.

The new format is TOTALLY UNWORKABLE!

THEY HAVE DESTROYED THE FORMAT I HAD ON THE GROUP'S OPENING PAGE! I HONOR NEW GROUP MEMBERS EACH MONTH BY POSTING THEIR ANIMALS' PHOTOS ON THE GROUP HOME PAGE AND THAT GROUP HOME PAGE HAS BEEN REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH A FORMAT THAT IS NOT WORKABLE.

WHEN I CLICK ON PHOTOS, THE FORMAT IS NOT WORKABLE. I CANNOT SEE A LIST OF PHOTO ALBUMS.

EVERY PART OF THE GROUP THAT I HAVE VISITED HAS A TOTALLY NEW, UNAPPEALING, UNWORKABLE FORMAT. THEY ARE DESTROYING THE GROUPS!

THEY DID -NOT- NOTIFY US GROUP OWNERS THAT THEY INTENDED TO MAKE THESE CHANGES AND I CAN'T EVEN FIND ANY WAY TO GIVE THEM FEEDBACK AND THE HELP FILES ARE -NOT- HELPFUL IN THIS SITUATION. THERE'S NO WAY THAT I CAN FIND TO CONTACT YAHOO AND TELL THEM HOW HORRIBLE THIS IS.

THE ABILITY TO SEARCH THE MESSAGE ARCHIVES IS ALSO GONE.

I CANNOT FIND EVEN ONE THING ABOUT THE NEW FORMAT THAT I WOULD CALL -GOOD- OR -BENEFICIAL-

At the bottom of the Yahoo Groups' home pages there's an optional link to Yahoo Answers. In the past it has always shown recent questions that match the topic covered by each individual Yahoo Group. For weeks now it always says "Questions are currently unavailable". This is not true. Yahoo Answers is up and running.

For my great pyrenees groups, recent questions asked which include the words great pyrenees should show in the list on the group homepage for those questions. Tonight I checked ALL my groups from dogs to canning to several other groups. ALL the groups say "Questions are currently unavailable" but I see questions at YA that match the groups I'm in, but those questions are not showing like they used to.

What's wrong?

When is Yahoo going to repair this problem?

Shockwave has gone to hell and stayed there.

Games weren't loading this morning, and now it doesn't recognize my login name and tries to force me to "choose a name" when I try to login under my long-established name. When I click on the "contact me" link, it demands I choose a user name.

AT&T webmail service USED to work JUST FINE! I believe in the old addage, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", but Yahoo just HAD to make AT&T webmail look JUST LIKE Yahoo webmail. I have both AT&T (paid for email account) and Yahoo (free email account). I always had both open at the same time. I was unhappy when Yahoo took over AT&T email, but it was bearable so long as they kept them DIFFERENT and SEPARATE!

We have 6 AT&T email addresses. From logging on under the primary, we were able to move EASILY back and forth from one to another without re-login. It worked well, and smoothly. I could use the primary to go to "manage account" and EASILY manage ALL 6 email accounts.

Now AT&T webmail looks JUST like Yahoo.

Now it's linked to Yahoo (I wish it were NOT). So, if I'm logged into my Yahoo email, I have to log out to go view my AT&T email.

Now I can't walk easily from one AT&T email addy to the next without loging out and back in and back out and back in, etc. etc.

NOW they didn't put a scroll bar in, so I cannot read my email messages because there's NO SCROLL BAR. It's NOT my IE that's the problem, because I HAVE my scroll bar on my Yahoo email using IE.

NOW I can't walk down my list of messages because of NO SCROLL BAR. I can ONLY SEE about the first 10 messages in the list... no more.

NOW I cannot go to my folders because I have NO SCROLL BAR to walk down THAT LIST either.

PLEASE tell me HOW I can get hold of Yahoo on the phone (they killed the old AT&T phone #)to have them help me.

I can't remember the passwords for any of our email accounts and so Yahoo won't allow me to reset the passwords and set NEW passwords. The ONLY email I am allowed to access and edit is our primary account, NONE of the others. My husband CANNOT access HIS email account. Yahoo help is user UNFRIENDLY and doesn't allow me to send a message asking for help either.

I just heard about her new pup, and visited the website showing photos from her Sunday outing. Her fan website quoted her as having stated the dog was a GSD, and I believe it's a Great Pyrenees. I don't see any indication it's a GSD. If she believes THAT, she should have DNA testing done on the dog as it doesn't look at ALL like a German Shepherd. And they claimed that she stated that, as an adult, her dog won't fit in her Prius. I can fit 4 adult pyrs comfortably in my Prius if I put the back seats down and let one sit in the passenger seat, and don't have any human passenger in the car.

I tried to check the accuracy of those statements at the Official Miley Cyrus website, and found you can't read blogs or do much of anything unless you subscribe to a $29.95 annual membership, which I certainly won't do. I didn't see any way to post comment at her website or at her official fan website either where those quoted statements are posted. Do YOU know how to pass on my comments to her?

How can I reach her to let her know her dog can easily fit into her Prius?

How can I suggest to her that, if she thinks her pup is a GSD that she should get DNA testing?

How can I suggest to her that it's CRITICALLY IMPORTANT that she learn how to be a good, strong, firm, loving alpha pack leader so this dog will become a canine Good Citizen as an adult?

The pup in the photos from Sunday looks to be about 4mo old.

One of my friends thinks it's a Golden/Pyr cross. I suspect it's a pure pyr. What do YOU think?

Yahoo is now posting a top-10 list in the dog area that's full of errors. It leaves you the impression that the people mentioned are the top-10 for having given the MOST Best Answers in the Dog section.

BUT

I have 2578 Best Answers right now... and am NOT shown on the "Top 10" list. The Top 10 List right now shows:

I have one hanging onto the antenna of my pickup, right across from the front door of the house.

I brought all dogs in as I have no way to know if it's rabid, and my two puppies have not yet been vaccinated against rabies.

It just clings to the antenna like a lump, until I move around outside, then it reacts to the air currents or sounds my body generates and it moves about. I think that it would fly away IF it was able. My husband is nowhere near home and I don't know what to do.

I live way out in the country and humane society has no funding to come out for any kind of animal retrieval. Local zoo doesn't have humans answering the phone.

I see others who have uploaded to Yahoo! Answers their own personal avatars. If others have been able to do so in the past, I should be able to do so but I cannot find any way to do so. Please help me find out how to do this.

I just answered a question on a Great Pyrenees (dog) that was posted within the last 24 hours. I saw another question and tried to search to find it. Search didn't show me ANY yahoo question with the word "Great Pyrenees" in them, so I did advanced search and searched for an open question within the last 7 days with the text Great Pyrenees in the question.

I wasn't even shown the question I just finished answering, so the search engine for questions with specified text in them does NOT work at ALL. The ONLY responses I got were to sites OUTSIDE Yahoo Answers! The answer page stated there were NO messages that matched my criteria at Yahoo Answers! WRONG! I just answered one today, and several that are still open within the last 3 days.

Why doesn't the search for questions work?

When will Yahoo figure it out and fix this error?

There's a fancy new spelling checker that pops up speech bubbles with comments like, "Hmmm... it looks like you have too much punctuation"

or

"Oops! It looks like you have 1 misspelling(s)" and offers to open the spell checker.

The flaw is that it pops up this speech bubble when you put in NORMAL, PROPER punctuation!!! And often, when it claims you have 1 or more misspellings, there are no words underlined in red in the text box, which is supposed to happen when there's a misspelling.

In all the question sections I've checked, ALL the most recent questions are 15 hours ago. Why aren't there ANY NEW questions posted between midnight last night and 3:20pm EDT ????? Sun, 7/20
