supportive bra?

let's break it down - I have really big boobs. Triple D. I get really supportive bras at Lane Bryant, the only store that makes a pretty and supportive bra for someone my size, and the work very well for most situations. My problem is - I just got a job moving furniture. I have the strength but when I lift my straps dig into my shoulders and my chest actually will get caught on what I am moving...they get in the way! I have tried sport bras in the past - but either they don't provide enough support, or they are so tight that my circulation actually gets cut off. I am looking for suggestions for a bra from any "well endowed" woman that can share my pain. Eventually I plan on getting a reduction but I do need to do my job in the meantime! Thank you for any help.

Update:

on another note...to anyone ogling or jealous...I have already had to have my shoulder reconstructed because the constant weight (with constant reaching and lifting) completely seperated the joint. Now I live in pain, once a joint is operated on it is never 100% again.

I feel your pain lol.... I'm 19 and an E. I've tried so many bras. I finally found two that work. One in pacticualiar is a Bali bra. The straps are an inch thick and padded. I'm Totally spacing on the name of it right now, but on the sides of the cups there are little leaf type designs. Its inexpesive as well. If i remember the actual name of it i'll right it on here.

Husband of over 38 years to a 'well endowed' lady here. I saw in one of those little gift catalogs some pads that slip onto your bra straps, and my wife bought a few pair. Try a google search on BRA STRAP PADS and you might be able to find some.

As far as a breast reduction, go for it. One young lady who I used to be stationed with had breast reduction surgery, well before she came to my command. She brought a picture album in and I asked her if her sister was older or younger than she. She looked at the section I was talking about and told me that was her (she was built like Dolly Parton and only 5' tall, too). That's when she told me about the surgery and pulled her shirt up and showed me the pink scar under her breast (yes, she did do that!). We had a party once and one of my wife's friends was talking to her. Several months later, I saw her and noticed she looked 'different.' I commented that there was something different about her and she told me she had talked at length to my shipmate and got a breast reduction, too.

My 'shipmate' had the problem with the straps, her back hurt her, and men were CONSTANTLY staring at her more than ample breasts. We've been in contact since she moved back to her home state in 1986 and we share family stories and pictures, and she's STILL one gorgeous lady.

    Good luck!

Hi I'm a 36ddd myself and had problems with the straps digging untill I went to an oulet store. It's weird how most of them are to tight on the shoulders.Anyway I tried several bras till I finally found one that I was comfortable with.Go to www.onehanesplace.com and perhaps you'll find an outlet close to home.Good luck to you. Yes Bali is the one I got that works for me with the flowers on side just like Britnee said.

Try bra extenders. You can get them at Victoria Secret, you hook it too the snappy things on your bra and it makes it bigger. So It will be come looser. Or you can go to your local fabric store and the probably have a section that has bra stuff, at least mine does and you can get strap extenders. I think this would help you a lot.

A sports bra will probably do the trick. Feel better soon!

Well, Im also a triple D and I use Wacoal. They work really well and the straps are comfortable. They aren't outrageously expensive either.

my wife is a 42dd and will wear two sports bras or a combo of a sports bra with a regular bra. I dont know if that works or not but figured i would throw it out there.

I would not get a reduction. Be happy with what God gave you. I am sure you can adapt your work style to fit your physique. This is only on the light side, but make believe you have a disability! Your employer would have to accomodate you! I am sure your male coworkers enjoy working with you! They would be glad to help you along with your "disability".

    Good luck.

haha preaching to a choir darling. well try a bra with gel straps they are a bit thicker but they are comfortable and if fit properly then they should stay on and not move. try it.
