does it say 70 year old scotch ,or are you factoring in the difference in time.scotch does not age once it has been bottled.the one that sold was a 1926 vintage bottled in 1986 then re-bottled in the 90's,so it's a 60 year old scotch.
macallan is the Ferrari of scotches, hence the demand for that bottle
that is a blend isn't it.they weren't a scotch distiller,but a scotch merchant.,that would affect price.
my guess the scotch part would be worth about 100 bucks
as for the nostalgic component in the equation, not sure.

Oh man, you have a gem! 1. It's still drinkable. Will taste totally different than any current 7 year Scotch. The older blends had a more pronounced peat flavor. 50 years likely really smoothed the taste. Sip it straight or on the rocks. DO NOT mix with water or anything! Save for special occasions & toast to grandpa. Maybe with family at Christmas or New Years. Make it a family tradition. 2. I don't think you're gonna get rich if you try to sell it. Think it would have more sentimental value to consider parting with. P.S. Don't recall White Horse being a single malt (believe it's a blend) but nevertheless, when would you ever have an opportunity to sip $600 booze?

You would get a lot of money so try amazon or ebay and sell it or try a local auction or something
