The value of that coin is still 10 cent and it is still in use in Singapore today. Even though it is quite difficult to buy something with 10 cent, the 10 cent may come in quite useful if the amount totals up to less than a dollar. Singapore also have a 1 cent coin but hardly anyone uses it these days. The 5 cent coin is not very common but there are still some people who still uses the 5 cent coin for convenience.

California minted small 1/4 , 1/2, and 1 dollar gold coins in the 1850's and 1860's. The real gold ones are worth something. I usually see brass copies that are worth a dollar or so. If there is a picture of a grizzly bear on the reverse, it is a copy. None of the real ones had bears.
