Roland Martin on CNN posed the question "What Would Jesus Do?"?

Several members of Congress have expressed the opinion that, if they knew then what they know now, they would have voted against authorizing the war. Since Jesus is omniscient ("all knowing"), He would have known then. Therefore, I conclude that if Jesus were a member of Congress, He would have voted AGAINST the war authorization?

Well, since we went into the Iraq war based on misinformation and outright lies, I don't think Jesus would have gone along with it. He would have known better.

It's interesting that the media doesn't mention WMDs much these days. Osama Bin Ladin doesn't get much air-time either... I'm glad that we are accomplishing the goal of the Iraq war though: democracy for the Iraqis???

Jesus didn't even want to fight the romans which were occupying his country at that time. How could anybody even think that he would approve of invading another country for whatever reason beats me.

Jesus would have remained neutral. At John 17:16, he said: "They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world."

Earlier, Jesus said: "If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you."

Jesus would have said "About damn time. I guess you guys didn't hear me when I said Saddam was a rapist, murderer, anit-semite and a heretic, but now that he might pose a threat to you, we need to take him out? How very Philistine of you."

Jesus at this time would not have anything to do with religion as it is taught today.
