Choosy?? huh? why even bother to help a lazy bum to get a job anyway?
We can help him.. there are hundreds of jobs outside there waiting to be discovered but if the person itself couldnt be bothered to motivate themself to get a job to support his life and his future.. i would say.."well, whatever.. just a plain good luck for you anyway!"...

The situation is terrifying. The fact is that this figure is not even counting jobs that will be lost today or tomorrow or the next day. Just on the news tonite I heard of several companies that are laying off thousands. The fact is, I work for my self on a free lance basis and while this may seem like a good deal, it isn't because this economy causes my clients not to need work. The unemployment rate does not even take us type of workers into account so it is much worse than it even seems. This is the reason that it absolutely infuriates me when people say Bush was not that bad. This country is in ruins and it may only get worse. I wonder how many people really appreciate the horrible situation that Obama is going to be facing.

Maybe help him to figure out where his talents lie, and how best to use them. If he has a particular ambition in mind, help him to take the first baby steps to get him on the way. For instance, if he wants to be a restaurant owner, start learning the business by working first in the kitchen.
Everyone has some talent that other people need. Discovering what you enjoy doing is sometimes an elimination process, trial and error.
Not everyone chooses to spend their life bumming off the state and society in general, bypassing the sense of achievement from doing something really well, and enjoying the respect (and financial rewards) that come as a result. And not everyone works for an employer. Could he be self-employed, his own boss?
Good luck !!

The Indonesian immigrant said that Malaysia is "longkang emas". There's money and job everywhere, it all depends whether you want to continue blindfolding yourself or start open your eyes and seek for jobs that are a plenty.
Never mind other labour intensive work such as plantation, construction and mining but in other areas, the foreign workers has taken over a large part of jobs that are supposed to be for locals such as kilang, restaurants and cafes, hotels and housekeeping. I even have to do sign language when ordering at a high street cafe.
So wher have all the locals gone? There's a saying, "biar mati papa, jangan mati gaya". That's exactly Malaysian locals are behaving when it comes to securing a job.

If he is too choosy then you need to advice him before helping him to find a job.

It's quite hard to give an answer to this one. l would say it depend on that person whether he/she are serious about getting a job for themselves. If they are happy with what they have now then i would say," let the sleeping dog lies.".
Job is abundent everywhere, there is no excuse like " but it's soooo hard to find it." People who is choosey when it come to finding a job to safe their lives, have no business with me. As for those who is fresh out of school is understandable, until they ran out of money, or when mum and dad says, " AHEM, it about time you have to wipe your own bum."
As for your question. l would say leave him/her be. They will ask for help when the time is ripe. Afterall, they are not spending your money.

Are you talking about me? Over the time I have helped others get job, but got none for myself. Without going into details, I would say leave the poor guy alone. You by trying to fix him up with a job, or trying to decide what is best for him, is not really helping him. Unless he seeks for help. Unless you know the true story behind his joblessness.

write 'go get a job' on his feet during he's asleep, then put a peice of paper in between his toes and set it on fire.
once the fire burn his toes, he will wake up and the first thing he sees is 'go get a job!'
