How do I get my baby to turn around?

I've had 2 3d ultrasounds so far (in Korea they do an ultrasound every time you visit the OB) and both times my son has been facing my back so we haven't been able to get a clear picture of him.

My husband and I would really like to get at least one good pic of the little guy before I have him (I'm 29 weeks pregnant).

Any ideas on how we get him to face outward?

Update:

Jeez people, I'm not trying to "force" him and I'm certainly not going to hurt him. But I read that sometimes if you get the father to speak low down on your belly it can get the baby to turn into the head down position (my pregnancy book recommends doing this as you near full term) so I didn't know if there was something non-invasive like that we could try.

Update 2:

Thanks to those of you who actually gave advice... Maybe I'll try taking a walk before the next appointment and see if that helps.

He's probably just camera shy... both his parents are...

Update 3:

Good advice DSNY, I'll definitely take some OJ to the next appointment.

I just paid to have a 3D one done and I was worried about the same thing. And sure enough she wasn't starting to cooperate, however I brought orange juice and mountain dew with me to the appt and when she was acting up I started chugging the mt dew. The tech really didn't think it would help but it did make her move enough to get a good enough shot. And after 32 weeks your window starts to close to get a shot anyways so hopefully he cooperates quickly or you are going to miss out. Good luck!

There isn't really too much that you can do, but *lightly* exercising before you go to the doctor may help to change his position. You could also try sleeping in a different position the night before you go.

Hope this helps, and congratulations on the pregnancy.

I had the same problem and my doctor used this buzzer type thing to make the baby wake up and move. I dont know what they call them here in America, but they are just a little wand thing they place on the outside of your belly and it just buzzes and wakes the baby up or startles them so they move.

There isn't anything you can do. If your that far along...he is prolly not going to turn around. I don't like the 3d ultrasounds--i mean finding out what you are having is fine--but knowing what your baby looks like already before it is even born just spoils all the fun...

I hate to say this, but are going to have to wait until he is ready to turn around. My youngest daughter did that me, I had a 3D ultrasound, and she only wanted me to see her back. I had my second 3D ultrasound and then we were able to see that she was a girl. I really hate to say it, but he is running the show.

the toddler ought to nevertheless turn till now delivery. i think of that the probabilities of the toddler turning bypass down around the 8th month whilst there is far less shifting around area. there are approaches that docs can turn the toddler till now delivery if he does not do it on his very own.

Be patient he will turn over when he is ready. There are external massages that your doctor could do but they are very uncomfortable.

It's easy. Tape a picture of Britney Spears to your belly.

rub the oils from pig fat on your stomache and, like a cayote, he will try to find the fresh meat.
