the problem with the 360 is the VGA(graphic chip)

and the falcon version is almost the same except for the cpu chip and its heatsink........... but the older 360 cpu design is already good.... so they dont need to change that...... they should redesign the graphic chip which is the main problem.......

I have one of the new ones also, and I have had it since August. It really is not any quieter then the old ones, but it does keep cooler. I have had no problems at all, but having it only a short time doesnt say much. My older Xbox's I had one for a year, and one for 8 months, so once I have had it for around a year then I will really know if its better or not. I still have a fan on it to keep it cool, just in case.

I have had my xbox for over a year without the fan to cool, and it just recently got the rings of death. I sent it in and it was back with in two weeks and works great. I still haven't got the fan to cool.

not sure if my boyfriend has that, but his did over heat after having it for almost a year...he has a cooling fan attatched to it that he bought but it over heated and blew up something inside the system because he put one of those skins on it and kept it under the TV surrounded by other electronics...so i think you will be fine if you don't buy a skin for it and keep it in a open area and not next to other electronics like speakers and DVD players...ect.

just keep it in a well ventilated area and watch out for those red death lights
