Why is there a daily limit to answering questions?

Do they want us to use the site or not?!

for level 1-4 they have daily limits to encourage you to keep answering so you can get to higher levels and then have the privileges of level 5-7

also to stop spammers at low levels, once you are level 5 they believe you are not a spammer etc

Yes, they do. However, they want you to learn a bit slowly, so you understand the system properly and don't end up getting suspended before you do. Also, they want to keep the spammers, bots and trolls (who usually get suspended and have to start over at Level 1) under control so they can't post endlessly on the site. Unfortunately, to limit them, they have to limit everyone.

Actually, once you have answered enough questions, they drop the daily limit. I think it is to give you time to figure out the best way to answer people's questions.
