i like most of the answers below, but pretty much just dissappear and die. humans release more 'emissions' by eating food and plants, so if we were to stop driving, means we walk more, which means we eat more, and we speed up the so called 'global warming' which is a natural occurance on the earth anyways. And the only thing hybrids are good for is getting good mileage on gas, but overall they cost more than what you save.

If you want some real facts on global warming [not the media adjusted ones] check this quiz out. I learned a lot from it

Global Warming is a myth not a fact. It would take millions of years to reach the causes Mr. Gore says will happen in 20 years. It's a political scam to scare us into doing what they want. But if you must know, take shorter showers, turn your heat down in the winter, don't run the water when you're brushing your teeth, and create a compost and plant trees.

Use less energy. Most of our energy comes from fossil fuels so every mile you don't drive and every BTU you don't waste means than much less CO2 is produced.

Start with the easy stuff first. Get rid of your light bulbs and use compact florescent lights. Commit yourself to not using your car at least once a month but if you can try making it once a week. Buy local produce and produce in season.

The production of meat produces almost as much CO2 as electrical industry. So if you could eat less meat and even do without meat once a week that would make a difference.

If every American adult took up these small lifestyle changes alone, the world production of CO2 would drop by 5%. Plus you would save money and hardly notice the change. Actually things like eating vegitarian once a week is fun.

There is plenty more you can do but this is the low impact, no sacrifice route.

Quite honestly, I don't think "Global Warming" is entirely caused by humans. We may not help but hot days are caused by Solar activity. The earth gets hot and cold in cycles, that's just nature. It isn't global warming we should worry about, but conserving resources, and not destroying the beauty of this planet. And ways to do that is common sence that people choose not to listen to.

Stop flying, and eat locally grown foods. That would make a tremendous difference without much pain if everyone would just do those two things.
