Usually 10-20 % of the total cost of your wedding, depending on where you live and how involved they are. The more they are involved, the higher the cost.

Depending on what you need us (I'm a Wedding Coordinator/Planner) for in regards to your wedding.

If its from day one & the person is there to assist in arranging meetings with the venue, caterers, to being there the full day of the wedding, average 10% of your budget to the Wedding Planner's/Coordinator's fees.

If you have most of the arrangements completed, and need someone to oversee your plans to the letter & be ready to resolve any minute issues, then that's a Day-Of Planner, which is about $600-800. Normally they come in at about 1 month before the big day.

If you need a consultant, to ask questions or such, then it can start from $100/hr. Yet if they only charge you consulting fees & then you keep them on (always with a contract) to do the full wedding or day-of, then I'd seriously consider that the person sign you up for another package & the consulting is no charge (it's already in the package.)

    Hope that helps.

You shouldn't pay more than 10-15% of your wedding budget for a planner. Many planners will have a flat rate though, since a lot of brides don't have an idea of what their budget is starting out. And this way you know how much to expect ahead of time.

You should also take into consideration that a wedding planner will generally save you more money than you spend on them. Planners get various discounts from vendors, and pass those discounts onto their clients.

Anywhere from 15 to 25% of the total wedding budget. As the budget grows, so does the costs of the wedding planner. Be sure to get several current references and pictures.

Could be costly but well worth it. I have done many as my gift to the bride and someday hope to make a business where I can quit my day job. I have received several requests from friends of the friend and in some cases offered them a flat fee but was very clear about what services I would provide or assist with. Good luck.

If you hire them early, they usually charge a percent of the budget- 10-20%. other may charge a flat rate if you just want them on the day of the wedding and a rehearsal. I've seen a wedding day fee of $500-750 and a 2 day (rehearsal and wedding) fee of $1000- 1200.
