Lunging equipment?
If they say you can use Jaquima for training, how can you use it in lunging if you cant attach the side reins or longe line? Is using a cavesson or Jaquima better for western training?

Lunging Cavesson are definitely better. :) You an use the line on the nose, the chin and the side of the cheek. You an do a lot more than with a jaquima. :)

I would go as simple as possible and just use a halter and lunge line, maybe a lunge whip for encouragement.
Source(s): I personally don't use the whip, I just hold it as a reinforcement. After the first few minutes, the horse gets it, and I drop it to the dirt. - 1 decade ago
