My horse was doing well on lunge line so i thought i could try to get him into the gallop. i wasnt in a round pen, and i know that was kinda a dumb thing to do not in one, but i got him into for a stride or so, then he took off and i got him back to walk but he was really hesitant afterwards. i should gallop him on the lunge right? cuz if i dont teach him to how carry himselg galloping, how wil he do when i start riding him? thats my thought......any help is welcome!
8 AnswersHorses1 decade agoBridling problem! Help!!!!!?
I have a two year old whom I am trying to teach him to take the bit. After a while he was doing fine...then one time when I was taking it out of his mouth, he threw his head up, and the bit got stuck in his mouth! Now! he will NOT take it....I am at my wits end trying over and over again to get him to take it. I even tried using peanut butter! When I bring it to his mouth, he throws his head up, even when i put my arm over his neck and between his ears. I was also thinking about trying to find some trainers. If you know anyone around Tyler Texas, could you give me a name or website mabye? Thanks for the help!

I have a two year old that I need to get started getting used to weight on his back. Should I be the one to be on him first or get him used to a saddle first? That way when he is used to the saddle, my weight will be more accepting to him. Please!! Advice is Welcome! :)

15 AnswersHorses1 decade agoGelding after Stallion? Behavioral change?
I know I have already posted a question about this, but sometimes reassurence is helpful. :) I am about to geld my stallion because he is so tempermental.......At feeding time he just is so spirited....His ground manners may need working with...........but I hope and pray that gelding him will make him stop all of this hyper activity. He can get a little dangerous at feeding time to, one time I made him wait and not eat out of my bucket, and he started throwing his head around and still coming forward. This is the behaviour I am really scared of. Now I just try to put the feed in his bucket before he does all of this. Please, any advice is welcome!

I have a two year old who hasn't been gelded yet. When I fed him a few days ago, he was a little impatient, but now this morning he got really upset when I mad him scoot over and not let him eat out of the feeding bucket. I was scared he would rear. I am a little nervous now thinking this might happen again. Would gelding him make a difference in his temperment?? Please!!! Adivce is welcome!!
