Is Baltimore a good place to live?
Any websites with information would be appreciated.
I'd love to live there and work in DC.

Yeah, lots of people are finding Baltimore to be a low -cost place to live compared to DC. The southern suburb of Glen Burnie (Anne Arundel County) is a good choice for inexpensive housing but still a livable place. It also points you towards the best way to drive to DC: down I-97 and west on US50. If you can't use the HOV2 lanes on US50 however, you might want to try the MARC commuter train to DC.

I'm from NJ. I have always heard that Baltimore is very high crime and it's been nationally ranked in the past 2 years for it's crime level. We have Camden here in NJ that's not so hot either as far as crime is concerned, lol. DC is also very crime ridden. The fact is anytime you're near a big city, crime is going to be a factor, it just will be; some more than others - I wouldn't live in Baltimore or DC, personally.

Baltimore is a crime ridden, high cost, boring city. I would look around out west before settling into any eastern seaboard city. Look at Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Boulder, Santa Fe, Denver or Austin before Baltimore!!

My wife and I have also looked into moving there, and the surrounding area, I would be interested in seeing what responses you get.
