Program that would allow me to edit music I've recorded?

I'm looking for a program that would allow me to edit and combine tracks that I've recorded. So for example, if I played each part of a duet or trio separately and recorded them, and then want to merge them into one track. Anyone have any recommendations of programs that I could use?

I've used Audacity before but I'm not sure if that would be suitable for this.

Audacity indeed allows you to add several tracks into a single file. It should be fine.

Goldwave works pretty well, you can download a trial and it's only $29.95 for the full version.
