  • Difference between domain and restriction?

In terms of functions, what's the difference between the domain and restriction? I know what domain is, but I'm kind of iffy on the restriction.

I'd really appreciate a detailed explanation (examples maybe?)

    Thanks a lot~

  • Was the dropping of the atomic bomb justified?

Can anyone suggest any books or other credible resources where I can find information? I'm having trouble finding information about the political reasons behind the bombing, not the Manhattan Project or the bombing itself.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Coppery color appearing on jewellery?

I have a few necklaces/bracelets made of just normal metal, and they're started to develop a sort of strange coppery colour. I don't THINK it's rust, because rust flakes right?

This is just a shiny coppery colour creeping in on the edges of the metal.

Any ideas on what this is, how to get rid of it?

    Thanks!

  • What contributions did Charles Cornwallis make to the American Revolution?

I know that his surrender at the battle of Yorktown was extremely significant in that it was a major battle that led the Americans to independence. However, I need TWO main arguments.

Does anyone have any ideas about his other contributions, or how I can split this event into two distinct contributions?

  • Program that would allow me to edit music I've recorded?

I'm looking for a program that would allow me to edit and combine tracks that I've recorded. So for example, if I played each part of a duet or trio separately and recorded them, and then want to merge them into one track. Anyone have any recommendations of programs that I could use?

I've used Audacity before but I'm not sure if that would be suitable for this.

  • Where can I find pictures of Canadian flag submissions during the 1940s to 1960s?

I'm looking for pictures of the various submissions for the Canadian flag in the 1940s to 1960s, when there was a contest held for a new flag for Canada.

I'd prefer links to actual images and information, not books. Thanks in advance.

  • Can someone explain microphones (for recording) to me?

I'm working on a project that involves me recording music (piano, flute) and editing it later on the computer.

So I've looked around yahoo answers already and it seems that people recommend using a condenser mic. I really have no idea what it is and why it's different/better than the others.

Could someone please just explain this to me? In terms that I will actually understand, not a copy and paste from wikipedia.

As well, a recommendation on what mic to use would be great. I'm not planning to spend that much money, but still hoping to achieve good quality recordings.

    Thanks~

  • Some unusual, but good books for a teenager?

By unusual, I mean unusual. I've probably read all of your typical teen books, and maybe more. I'm starting to think about reading some classics, but I'm not sure which ones would be suitable, and which ones I would be able to understand fully.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Canada's Role in the Making of the Atomic Bomb?

I don't need reams and reams of information necessarily, looking more for sources, whether they be online, books, videos, anything.

  • where to buy french books?

Does anyone know where I can find french books in the GTA? I've checked chapters and coles and they don't have much. I couldn't find any french books for teens on amazon.ca either.

I'm looking for french teen fiction, like french versions of popular teen fiction (ie. harry potter, eragon, etc.) Could anyone tell about any bookstores that have a large variety of these, or how to find them on amazon.ca?
