    How about fondue? You could do the cheese fondue for the appetizer, the meat fondue for your main course, and the chocolate for dessert of course.

    My brother-in-law's family tradition is Polish sausage (the really good kind) for New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, depending on work schedules. They have it with mashed potatoes. The sausage is cooked in a light reddish sauce, maybe similar to barbecue, but not quite.
