Telescoping Antenna Repair - What tools/technique?
I must not know my own strength. I have several different radios that have different telescopic or telescoping antennas and I seem to have pulled one section out of its mating section on each of them.
Is there anyway to repair these antennas? I mean I can re insert the smaller portion, allong with the copper looking extra tabs, back into the larger diameter antenna portion. However, I don't know how to bend or curl the ed to the larger diameter section back into a lip in order to once again "permanently" capture the smaller section within the larger section.
Is there a special tool for this? Can you provide a link to a picture or drawing? Is there a special technique to do it using ordinary tools?
Thanks

I would look into just replacing the antenna. Fixing it probably wont be worth the hassle. An electronics hardware store like Radio Shack would be your best place to look. You should be able to just unscrew the antenna. If you cant unthread it by hand you might need pillars.
