One sex has it easier?

Often I hear girls say that it would be so much easier being a guy because of blah blah and guys say that it would be so much easier being a girl because of blah blah.

that's all easy to say, but do you honestly believe that? Are there any guys who think that you have it easier or any girls that honestly think you have it easier?

Update:

well personally I think it's impossible to compare absolutely, since there's such a broad spectrum of things to take into account.

For example, in making it in the corporate world, a man has an obvious advantage.

In the idea of dating, women have obvious advantages.

etc...

I'm a guy and I believe that guys have it easier.

You can take a man and a woman who are equally attractive, equally "lovable". You will find that more men will sleep with that woman than women who will sleep with the man. So, randomly, women generally have the advantage when it comes to getting laid. Again, this is randomly.

However, it's easier for a man to get an extremely attractive, lovable girl than it is for a woman to get an extremely attractive, lovable man. You get where I'm going with this?

Men are the hunters of society. They go after the women. So, normally they have an advantage and get to choose what they want. Women can choose too, but they don't have a broad selection like men. It's kind of hard to explain.

That's just the dating aspect of it. There's some balance there but in everyday life, men have the head start.

It's hard to say because we're not the other sex. It's said its a lot easier fixing other people's problems than your own. Well it's a lot easier to say our gender has it harder because we just don't know.

But to make a bias, I think women do have it harder. We waste a week every month, not the mention the side affects that come with it (it's like wasting two weeks). Childbirth also sucks... hardcore probably. Yes, guys have to worry about paying for bills and whatnot... but actual pain I think sucks that much worse. Not to make it gross either, yes guys have penises and those go nuts sometimes. But at least its not bright red soaking through your pants. You can say you spilled your water bottle... not the ketchup all over your butt. I don't mean to be blunt, but I do think the female gender got some other things that aren't fun.

But hey, being a girl is fun ;-)

I really enjoy being a girl but it is hard sometimes because of the monthly thing and the whole pregnancy thing. And the cramps! But I think it is definetely think it is easier to be a girl.We can also control men with our bodies. They can want you all the time but you have the power to say yes or no.Its kinda fun to tease.A women's sexuality is power and a man can't really do that.If they did, the women would just be like whatever. And guys have the financial burden and the stress that comes with it.Overall, women have it easier.

I think it's the same for both. There are just certain areas that easier for one and harder for the other. LIke emotions, women had it easier in that they can cry and have girl friends to really talk to while guys, they keep to there in their heart and it's really a burden. At the same time, women are more sensitive and emotional and we easily get hurt while guys are more logical so emotions are not usually involved. In the end, i think it depends on the personality of the person and how he copes with what to him or her is a "hard thing to live with".

guys do have it better. yeah, we can vote and have equal rights, well we are supposed to, that doesn't mean we get treated equally. and that's just in america, what about the rest of the women around the world wwho are not lucky enough to live in america? they are raped and beaten and no one listens to them

how is it fair that the women has to carry the child for nine months and then take of the kid for 18 years and guys could go around not even knowing that even had a kid or worring about the responsibility

women are not allowed to be the pope. wow even god is for men

and how is it fair that i have to sit and stay at home till i'm 18 while my older brother gets to party all night long without getting into trouble. he's not a virgin, he's 17 and my parents don't even care. my dad saw me talking to a guy after school and my dad pulled me away from him and told him that if he ever talked to me again that he would shoot him in the face.

so do not ever tell me that guys have it better

I think the only thing guy's have easier is child birth lol. But other than that, we're pretty much the same, wouldn't you say? I mean, now that women can vote and have more rights, we're pretty much equal aside the child birth thing lol. And having to clean up blood for 2 weeks every month. Sorry for the image, but it's true.

Generally speaking, it depends what type of person you are, a very shy emotional guy may have a harder time than a confident, strong willed guy.

A girl that thinks she is incapable of doing anything for herself will have a harder time than a girl that knows how to take care of herself.

Each sex has disadvantages, while men can't carry babys, they have NO control over their offspring (whether pregnancy is terminated, whether they have custody, if another father is introduced).

They are neither easier or harder, just different.

I'm happy being a woman, but guys definitely have advantages in some areas...they tend to make a higher wage (even for the same work), they generally aren't looked down upon for being promiscuous, they don't menstruate, they don't go through childbirth, they don't go through menopause, their hormones rarely make them moody, they aren't expected to spend time on nice cloths, hair, and makeup to look good (for others), they can pee standing up, they generally have faster metabolisms so can eat more w/o gaining weight, they are judged more for who they are than what they look like, and the list could go on.

All that being said, I'm still glad I'm a chick...we muddle throug the disadvantages and manage to do okay. ☺

Uh guys have it easier hands down. I mean I roll out of bed in the morning, wash my face, bush teeth, comb hair and I'm out the door - that's just to start. I don't have to bear children or go through the myriad hormone gushes women do throughout their whole lives? How could guys have it harder?

I do put all my households finances on my shoulders but oh well.

Nobody has all sunshine and rainbows in life, regardless of gender we all go through rough patches etc etc etc, but in general I'm quite content with being a guy. Yes, a knock down below isn't at all pleasant and that's just one disadvantage of being male, but all in all at least we don't have to worry about that "time of the month" crap, getting pregnant, obsessing about our weight and so on.
