If you want to be Godly and get into heaven, are you still allowed to live a modern life/Hollywood/shopping?

Are we allowed to enjoy nice cars, shopping, work in Hollywood, or basically partake in modern society at all, go to concerts, go to college, work, even though the nature of your job isn't godly, and all of that stuff, have sex, be into fashion, and still be with god and get into heaven?

Or are we supposed to destroy society and live in convents and deny everything?

I TOTALLY understand that all the things I mentioned are of the world, materialistic, etc, but as long as you KNOW that, and don't let it interfere with God being FIRST, it's still okay right?

Is Hollywood blatantly anti-christian, or just accidentally so?

It sems ilke they don't like it or care at all, and totally give into the sins of the flesh.

Honestly, I don't agree with alot of modern society, but I still want to feel GOOD about myself, feel important, good looking, and dance to some music, and watch some cool movies. I don't think watching finding Nemo will condemn me to hell! lol

yes, if you are a good person why should you go to hell?

  • God wants us to be successful...Jeremiah 24:12.

As long as we put God first and foremost in our lives, He will bless us because we seek the kingdom first.

Hollywood is blantly anti-Christian, anti Christ. Anti-Christian/Christ is does not only mean the opposite but also a counterfeit.

We (Christians) are set apart for a reason. Things of the flesh will draw us back into the world. We need to make sure we are walking in the spirit and not in the flesh.

    I hope that helps!

Hollywood and the entire media has done more to destroy the moral fabric of America and lead people away from God than any other force, foreign or domestic. In this assessment I include all wars, riots, drugs and pagans.

Christians are instructed to mortify the deeds of the flesh.Sex outside of marraige between a man and his own wife is one example of a deed of the flesh.

The question should be do you desire to serve God or do you desire to serve the world which is perishing? If you want to serve God then you need to be working towards putting the deeds of the flesh to death.(Not doing them).

I think you can influence people even in Hollywood. I know of Hollywood stars that preach and share the faith. But be careful of pride.

Your eternal soul is at stake.

NO! Hedonism and sainthood do not go hand in hand. It is actually a mortal sin to have sex outside of marriage! You cannot get into heaven if you are so wrapped up in earthly things. God will think you have no interest in him.

  • The challenge for us (God's creation) centers around why; not what. (1 Samuel16:7).

There is nothing good about Hollywood. You cannot please the spirit of Hollywood and still be pleasing in the eyes of God.

If you have God in your Heart, HE will bless you with those things, but you shoudn't want them more than knowing your Lord. Praise him and you will be blessed with many things!
