Grace and mercy are for everyone...not just me. I believe the Bible to be true in every way and to be the one true guide for our lives. I believe in the Trinity—that there is one God, who has revealed Himself as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I believe Jesus is God and that He became a man. I believe He lived a sinless human life and then died for our sins. I believe He came alive again after His death and is now in heaven. We believe He will one day return to this earth in power and glory. I believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit who shows us when we sin, and helps us to turn from sin to godly living. I believe that God has not rejected Israel. Therefore, for the sake of God, I offer friendship and support to the Jewish people throughout the world. I believe that the church was created by Jesus and that He is its leader. I believe that one day all people will spend eternity in either heaven or hades.

  • Asking the living God for help?

Have you ever called upon the name of the living God, asked for help and promised Him something in return? Did you follow through?

  • What is the "secret" rapture?

In the last week, I have heard the term "secret rapture" a couple of times. Is there a secret one? If so, why is it a secret?

I know about the Rapture. (I'm a pre-tribulation Rapture believer.)

  • Are Christians held to a higher standard when they advertise they are Christians?

If you have a cross, fish, or any type of Christian symbol on your car/truck or suv, do you realize that you are held to a higher standard? Yes, God's grace is enough...and we are His ambassador.

Do you keep that in mind when you are driving?

  • Why is it when asking a question...?

here in the R/S section, there are some who won't give an answer to the question? They rant or answer with a question and then rant about it?

(I really hope it's deeper than just wanting, 2 points.) *shrug*

    Just courious!?!?!

  • Church ministry and back-ground checks...?

If you decided you wanted to get into ministry (through your church) and as you were filling out the volunteer form, you find out that they want to do a back-ground check...what would you do?

  • Are you caught in the middle?

Somewhere between the hot and the cold? Somewhere between the new and the old? Somewhere between who I am and who I used to be? Somewhere between the wrong and the right? Somewhere between the darkness and the light? Somewhere between who you were and who He's making you?

With eyes wide open to the differences, the God we want and the God who is? But will we trade our dreams for His or are we caught in the middle?

So, are you caught in the middle?

  • Another question about women pastors...?

I'd love to get your feedback on women as pastors and women in ministry (in general.)

Would you attend a church that had a female pastor...say like Joyce Meyer?

I'm including a link that goes into great detail about this very subject. It also has scripture to make the point.

  • Islam teachings?

Islam teaches that the word of Allah can not be corrupt. (It's in the Qur'an, but don't know the addy.)

Doesn't Islam also teach that the Bible (Torah, Psalms of David and the New Testament) are the word of Allah, too? Is it also true that Islam teaches that the Bible has been corrupted or altered? If so, how can that be if Allah says that his word can not be corrupted?

    Please be respectful with answers.

  • Spiritual warfare, ever make you feel like giving up?

Continue the have faith and do what you know is right. Some people have rejected this, and their faith has be shipwrecked. 1 Timothy 1:19

I sit a few feet from a man on death row. Jewish by birth. Tentmaker by trade. Apostle by calling. His days are marked. I’m curious about what bolsters this man as he nears his execution. So I ask some questions.

Do you have family, Paul? ...I have none.

What about your health? ...My body is beaten and tired…

    Any awards? ...Not on earth.

Then what do you have Paul? No belongings. No family…What do you have that matters?

...I have faith. It’s all I have. But it’s all I need. I have kept the faith.

Paul leans back against the wall of his cell and smiles.

When the enemy knows you have a "pull out date," don't you think he will be relentless, so you'll give up, walk away...then he can attack with more warfare?

Never ever give up!!! What are your thoughts?

    Serious answers plz...

  • Guilt: canyons of shame run deep? Gorges of never-ending guilt. Walls ribboned with the greens and grays...?

of death? Unending echoes of screams. Put your hands over your ears. Splash water on your face. Stop looking over your shoulder. Try as you might to outrun yesterday’s tragedies – their tentacles are longer than your hope.

Sometimes your shame is private. Pushed over the edge by an abusive spouse. Seduced by a compromising superior. No one else knows. But you know. And that’s enough.

Sometimes it’s public. Branded by a divorce you didn’t want. Contaminated by a disease you never expected. Marked by a handicap you didn’t create. And whether it’s actually in their eyes or just in your imagination, you have to deal with it – you are marked: a divorcee, an invalid, an orphan, an AIDS patient.

Whether private or public, shame is always painful. And unless you deal with it, it is permanent. Unless you get help – the dawn will never come.

  • Why are a lot (not all or most) of questions in the R&S section, so disrespectful?

Asking questions to gain knowledge is great, I encourage it! Has our society changed so much that asking rude and disrespectful questions is considered okay and acceptable?

  • God sending people to Hades/Hell?

    The short answer: No.

The living God does not "send" people to Hell. He only honors their request to go. The living God does not send "people" to Hell, only "sinners" go and then only by request. He honors our decisions.

So a better question might be...

Why would someone choose Hell over Heaven?

Jesus teaches us that there will be pain, eternal torment, weeping and gnashing of teeth. Why would some choose this for an eternity?

Serious answers only. If you do not believe in Heaven or Hell, then please move on to the next question. Thanks!

  • JW question?

I just read a JW "only" question...and simply wanted to ask...

If only 144,000 get to go to heaven, why go door to door? Between all (JW's) that have died since your religion began and the ones currently involved...aren't there 144,000?

Why are you so willing to give up your slot in heaven? I'm just interested in your thoughts on this...

And once a JW dies, are they guaranteed a place in heaven or if someone (another JW) does more and works harder, can you be removed from heaven to provide room?

Please be respectful, as I mean no disrespect.

  • Will you watch the "Passion of the Christ" this week?

If so, I would encourage you to read and study John 17-20 and Matthew 26-28.

I've been using it (Passion of the Christ) for a Bible study class and have found inconsistencies in the movie when compared to Scripture.

Have you found the same? If so, what and where (in the movie and Bible)

Example: Scene with Jesus drawing a line in the sand. The scene shows Mary Magdalene as the adulterous woman about to be stoned (The one without sin, cast the first stone...) However, Scripturally speaking, the only thing written in the Scriptures about Mary Magdalene is that Jesus cast out seven (7) demons from her.

I know this is a Hollywood film, I also know the screen write was done by Father Fitzgerald and Mel Gibson (Roman Catholic.) If we can get past "Hollywood" with this movie and look at the suffering Christ withstood for us and our sins, then it's a good movie.

With that said...what are your thoughts? Serious answers only.

    Peace be with you.
