Where do I plug in my PC case fans?
I just got a new case, Cooler Master RC-690, and motherboard, EVGA 122-CK-NF67 680i.
There are 3 fans on the case (1 front, 1 rear, 1 side) and it looks like my motherboard has 4 connections for fans (other than the CPU fan) they are a 'System Fan,' 2 'Chassis Fans' and what it looks like it says a 'Vreg Fan.' Does it matter where I plug them in? Should I just plug them into my powersupply instead of the MoBo? Or should I connect all 3 together and plug them into one spot on my MoBo?
If I do just plug them into my power supply will the fans constantly run while the computer is on? That sounds like that would be loud and wasteful.

umm you probably want the fans running all the time and if they are new fans you shouldnt be able to hear a thing. I would say if you got extra plugs, then just plug it into the power supply. That is the easiest thing to do. It never hurts to have a cooler computer that processor can get hot!

in case you have offered extremely decent qaulity followers you need to have adapters to plug right now into the flexibility supply. I continually propose all of us doing their very own builds to plug right into a ability supply over a motherboard for a pair of motives, a million - retains cord muddle down, (makes the build look nicer, can conceal the wires) 2 - much less ability plugged into the motherboard the extra suitable, incredibly whilst we are speaking 14 dollar followers that could all of sudden start to entice extra ability then they must, the place a ability supply can cope with it, it could have a detrimental impression on a motherboard. (no longer asserting this could ensue, yet its a danger, so in case you have the alternative, why no longer play it risk-free)

i just read this morning that they are not supposed to be plugged into mobo. only CPU and system fan are supposed to be plugged into mobo.they are supposed to be plugged together and into power supply.they would run as needed per the fan controller plug

usually, it will depend first on the plug that came with the fan. if it is a plug for the power supply then you have no choice but to plug it to your power supply. but if it has a slot for the motherboard, just plug it in to your motherboard regardless of the names. they are all powered the same. motherboard connections are better as you can control them using programs but as i have said, if the plugs are for the psu, then you can't plug them to your board.
