I asked this question last night, it's good IMO, here it is for all those who didn't see it:

"Answerers say the darndest things?"

>"Blueprint 2 is a great album" How can an album be great when the artist who made thinks it's weak? Um, Blueprint 2.1 is the recut version of an overly long album chock full of filler and no memorable tracks.

>"Lil Wayne is the greatest" How do you know when you can't even explain why he's so great? Does "Tha Block is Hot" ring any bells to you, Wayne Fan? No? Well you suck at being a Lil Wayne fan because that's his first album.

>"Nas is awesome and always was" Um...There was real dry spell from Nas once upon a time. Oochie Wally? Oh, my bad, that's a Brave Hearts song. Dr Knockboot, You won't see me Tonight. Yeah, Nas is hot again. But there was a time when I had written this dude off. And don't act like I'm the only one.

I don't think blueprint 2 was a great album, and i'm probably the biggest jay fan alive, but i can admit when he's not on his sh*t.  For me the Curse cd was better than the Gift.  It had a few good songs "Meet the Parents" was a great jay song...the whole storyline and "message" at the end was dope 2 me....but other than I agree that is was one of his worse cd's

Lil Wayne is not the greatest...i dont see why everyone is jockin' him so tough....he got some alright songs, but in my opinion he does too many collaborations and the verses he comes up with for the collab's seem rushed, forced, and all around wack at times. Example: I'm so hood remix- "I need an alkaseltzer sandwich" C'mon now!!!!

Nas- yeah he is one of the greats but he know damn well he FELL OFF 4 a while. The nastradamus song...weak.  Oochie wally....weak.  It's like he was trying to explore new things and beats and tryin 2 put his boys on...so he lost sight of the Nas the most people already loved.  To me after Oochie Wally and all that b.s..... he got back on his sh*t with One Mic...so I would say he has redeemed himself...we'll see when the new album comes out...........

"Cormega's catalog is better than Nas"... granted i dont listen much to cormega, so maybe my opinion is biased; but lets be real; the only artists who measure up to Nas' catalog are Jay-z, Wu Tang, Outkast, Scarface, and maybe Tupac IMO
