'01 Kaw 1500 FI Drifter-No spark.?

So I start up my bike last weekend and run it in it's parking space until it warms up (cold up here lately and a lot of snow on the ground/sloppy roads) and it runs fine.

I take the battery out and put it on the tender and charge it for a week and this weekend it's warmer-about 50 degrees out, so I put the battery back in and try to fire the bike up.

No fire.

Checked all the obvious safety cutouts (kickstand kill switch(working), handlebar kill switch(working), clutch switch(working), neutral switch (working), and then I notice that the bottom of the Vehicle Down Sensor is off. (The mechanical part).

So I put it back together, making sure that the weight is inside and it pivots correctly.

Reset ignition, no spark. Checked all fuses and wiring harnesses, all good, still no spark.

Fuel pump primes so the tip sw. is working and can smell raw fuel while cranking.

Scratchin ma noggin on this one-anybody seen this particular trouble before?
