  • '01 Kaw 1500 FI Drifter-No spark.?

So I start up my bike last weekend and run it in it's parking space until it warms up (cold up here lately and a lot of snow on the ground/sloppy roads) and it runs fine.

I take the battery out and put it on the tender and charge it for a week and this weekend it's warmer-about 50 degrees out, so I put the battery back in and try to fire the bike up.

    No fire.

Checked all the obvious safety cutouts (kickstand kill switch(working), handlebar kill switch(working), clutch switch(working), neutral switch (working), and then I notice that the bottom of the Vehicle Down Sensor is off. (The mechanical part).

So I put it back together, making sure that the weight is inside and it pivots correctly.

Reset ignition, no spark. Checked all fuses and wiring harnesses, all good, still no spark.

Fuel pump primes so the tip sw. is working and can smell raw fuel while cranking.

Scratchin ma noggin on this one-anybody seen this particular trouble before?

  • Looking to modify FM broadcast band receiver to receive out-of-band.?

Preferably the 2-meter amateur band. Used to be some articles on how to re-align the FM broadcast band receiver up farther, but I can't seem to be able to find it anywhere-Where I HAVE found a link to the article-it's been removed or is just a dead link.

Could someone please direct me to a working link to such an article or provide a basic explanation as to the modification steps?

I have a multiband portable AM/FM/SW receiver and have no use for the standard (88-108MHz) FM broadcast coverage as I have other receivers for this purpose and would like to add 2-meter reception to this radio.

    Thanks in advance!
