Do you think the guys mauled by the tiger are completely innocent?

I find it fishy that a well-fed tiger would jump a 12 ft wall and attack and kill one guy, then chase down 2 others 300 yards away, if it wasn't angry or motivated.

    Agreed.

Look, I'm just not going to get weepy about the 3 guys. The tiger didn't just "wake up in a bad mood" and attack. To me, it's Darwin's theory of natural selection working. If you are dumb enough to taunt a tiger, your DNA goes no further.

I'm just sorry the tiger wasn't tranquilizer rather than shot.

It makes you think even more when the other 2 are being hostile towards police questions. Not to mentioned they have past history of being hostile towards the police and have records. So its not like they are the most stand up young gentlemen. Why were they even at the zoo from what the news has said they just don’t seem like the kind that would go to a zoo on X-mas day just to look at the animals, seems like they would go and want to cause trouble. The young man who was killed was apparently supposed to be at his mother’s house.

The fact this tiger had lived in this exhibit for several years; the zoo housed their tigers there for decades yet nothing like this has happened before. They had to likely have done something that really upset the tiger. It is shame that the tiger was killed simple for being a tiger and doing what came natural to it. Once out of its habit it was probably more confused and afraid, and the guys were freaking out and running. Which I know is instinct but they would have been smart to drop cover the head curl into a ball to cover their vitals, even more their neck because that is what big cats go for first and try and remain as still as possible. Trying to flee put the tigers mind into catch a predator a natural instinct. Had they dropped the tiger may have pawed at them, maybe even bitten them, but eventually it would likely have left.

I hope they do a lie detector test because I’m not sure we can trust what these young men say.

Clearly they were up to something. What would three guys that age be doing at the zoo at 5pm on Christmas if they weren't up to something? They also have had past run-ins with the police.

Their actions got their friend and the tiger killed.

My daughter worked at the S.F. Zoo, and said that the tiger would have to have been teased to be so provoked as she was. The survivors may not admit it, but it seems likely that they aggravated the tiger. In any event, that wall was not high or safe enough, so the dead boy's parents will probably sue the zoo & the City of San Francisco.

I don't think they're completely innocent and it doesn't matter how low that wall was, that tiger was provoked. The dead guys father is also making me sick with the way he's parading himself around on tv. They get no sympathy from me. Wild animals whouldn't be locked up either they belong in the wild, while we're on the subject.

PS.. there was a 33 foot long ditch!!! how could the tiger get close to anyone??? and why would it try to jump that if not provoked??? they don't starve the animals in the zoo!!

I totally think the tiger was provoked. I agree with you, something is fishy. I'm feeling a little bad for the tiger.

I don't know if they are innocent but the tiger is. It was only doing what comes natural. Even a captive tiger is still a wild animal.

You think its fishy that a tiger killed 2 humans? why do you think its fishy? Cats are born with the instinct to kill! They will do anything to get to their targets. These people should not be treated like criminals and more like victims. They pratically died and I doubt that they would want to make a tiger mad enought to do it! Omg

Nope. I believe they provoked the tiger.

Oh, I'm pretty sure they were teasing the tiger. But people tease the animals in zoos every day. The zoo is supposed to protect the people...even the stupid ones...from the animals.
