Some days I'd just love to say some of the things she says.....

and not get fired. It would be so good for stress relief to tell someone to shut up or pay attention or to stop being stupid or stop making babies they cannot afford.

My husband and I worked in the garden Sunday until time for dinner. We loaded up the dogs and headed up to Wendy's drive through. (Grilled chicken sandwich, Fries, diet cola, and a small Frosty for each of us). We sat and watched the near collisions at the intersection while we dined.

Can you top that? :-)

It's a beautiful day in Pennsylvania and I've been outside all day. I washed my car and then worked in the garden. It's not hot....just pleasant, but I worked up a little sweat and got a little dirty. I have a birthday party to attend this afternoon. It will be all ladies and we will be drinking and laughing and playing games. Do you think it would be okay if I didn't waste any of this beautiful day in the shower? I'd really rather work in my garden up until the last minute when I have to leave for the party.

Or assault them in any way?

Ryan said something before the break....but I missed it. Is ONE group the the lowest...or one from each group or what. Maybe he didn't say.

I live in the country. I have a septic tank. Every few years I hire a guy to bring a tanker truck with a long hose and he sucks out my poo from my septic tank. I have to admit, it pretty much stunk up the neighborhood..... then again, I'm not one of those gals who thinks her sht don't stink.... But why the hell didn't that guy where a gas mask?

Suddenly, I don't think my job is all that bad...

Electronic Taboo. NOT the board game. It is no longer manufactured. I'm looking for it for a gift for someone who wants it bad and knows it will be previously used. I've searched Ebay already. None are available there right now. I've searched various "vintage games" web sites. No luck.

Mine aren't really lap dogs...they are German Shepherds who think they are lap dogs. But my two dogs and four cats all seem to be jealous of this laptop computer. The dogs try to flip it off my lap with their noses and the cats try to walk on top of it.

Do you have the same problem?

I just did some research to answer a Y/A! question and I found it to me interresting enough to merit it's own question. As a smoker, would you be willing to purchase a licence to smoke cigarettes? One of the links said that a government advisor proposed this in the UK. (My research pertains to the US)

Here's what my research revealed:

The FEDERAL cigarette tax will go up 62 cents to $1.01 April 1, 2009.

State taxes vary, of course. In Pennsylvania, the STATE tax will go up to $1.35 per pack ( ranking 21st among all states) on June 30, 2009. In additation are sales taxes (6% in PA) and some cities have additional sales tax (Allegheny and Philadelphia counties impose an additional 1% sales tax.)

$1.01 + 1.35 = $2.36 + 0.30 (6% on $5.00 pack) = $2.66 taxes per pack.

$2.66 per pack x 365 (pack-a-day habit) = $970.90 extra taxes paid every year to smoke.

If the government required smokers to buy a $1000 license each year to smoke, there probably would be a lot fewer smokers! Keep in mind, some states' cigarette taxes are even higher. (see links)

I'm not preaching from the pulpet; I, personally, am using this information to motivate myself to quit. What kind of fool am I for willingly giving the government more of my hard-earned money? And isn't that crazy when I look for every dollar I can find to lower the amount I owe to the IRS? Add to all the cigarette taxes the cost of the cigarettes themselves and it is simply ridiculous! (Not to mention how bad it is for my health). I just wish I didn't enjoy smoking as much as I do...... it would be so much easier. But now that I'm focusing on the TAX.....I think I have the motivation I need.

I'm shopping for a back brace for lower lumbar and sacral pain. The price ranges are wide. If you have personal or professional experience with back braces I welcome your advice regarding which model to purchase. I would be wearing this at work, under scrubs, so I need coolness (since I'm always too hot anyhow) and comfort (since I know I won't wear it if it is not comfortable).
