Is your lap dog jealous of your laptop?
Mine aren't really lap dogs...they are German Shepherds who think they are lap dogs. But my two dogs and four cats all seem to be jealous of this laptop computer. The dogs try to flip it off my lap with their noses and the cats try to walk on top of it.
Do you have the same problem?
I think I better give them some attention before things get ugly. Be back later..........

Thank God. I thought I was the only one with dog vs. laptop issues,LOL. Over the years, all of my dogs have competed for my total attention when I'm on the computer, whether it be my pc or laptop.
I have small breed dogs. When I used the pc, all 4 of them had to sit in my lap, while I was online. I had to move the keyboard because at least one had to lay in front of it. Good thing they were small, so I could still reach it!
I currently have 4 small dogs. All of them think they are lap dogs, and demand all my attention. Sometimes I use my laptop laying down on the couch or in bed, if I have a lot of work to do and am working late.
My dogs will do whatever they can to distract me or get me off the laptop. One of them has even learned where the power button is, and he will purposely step on it if I am online for over an hour. Or he will purposely step on the lid, closing it thus turning it off.
My dogs will also lay on me, in front of my view or on the keyboard, or even behind my head and start playing with my earrings, tugging at them, trying to get my undivided attention. Over the years I've learned to work around them. I started calling them my computer buddies, making them feel a part of my work. I take breaks to play with them, and they lay with me while I work.
Dogs are smart. They watch what you are doing and then do what they can to get you to stop and give all of your attention to them. They are like kids in so many ways.
You can't get mad at them, because they love you so much, they will do anything to be with you.
So, my advice is to keep loving your dogs and try to find a way to use your laptop and keep them happy.
Best of luck. Hope I helped.

I have a pitbull and when he was a puppy I'd take him to work and put him on my lap, his now 15 1/2 and just before he got upset when I put my puter on my lap. I don't think does crave attention so much as they crave love. He currently has his front feet wrapped around my leg and his little head on top, often sleeps with his eyes open just encase he thinks I am going to disappear on him. Now his in his senior years and honestly has not lost any of his energy levels still as active as ever, he needs more time and love than ever before.

lol I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that sits very contently right next to me on the couch. The moment I get out that laptop though, she suddenly desperately needs to be right in the middle of my lap. Its cute. She nibbles at my fingers as I type and chases the cursor on the screen. I don't use my laptop very often anymore. Now, when I'm on the desktop, she just sits under my feet and sighs. lol

YES. Luckily my dog is totally wiped out from daycare today so he's not on top of me, but usually when I'm on my laptop he just sits with his head in my lap and stares at me like "Why aren't you playing with ME". And if I ignore him long enough he just starts putting his whole head onto my keyboard and messing with what I'm typing. Sometimes he'll try to flip it out of my lap.
My cat always walks right across it, or will sometimes sit right on my chest so I can't see my screen.
Lol...gotta love them though.

Lol. My dog hates it when I get on my computer. He always wants attention. He just sulks when I'm online. Poor thing. I take breaks and play with him though but I try not to take a break when he's bugging me, otherwise he'll learn that he can bug me anytime and I will play with him. He will think he's boss.

Sounds like he is begging for your attention! Spend more time with him. Take him for a walk or a jog and get him really tired. Take a little time out of your day to spend with him and give him the attention he is asking for. Dogs are a big responsibility and you have to be attentive to their needs or they will make it known they are not happy as your dog is doing!

Same here.
My Siberian Husky x East Siberian Laika [complete lap dog, although she's 40lbs and medium sized] is absolutely jealous of my laptop.
She walks on it. She's ruined 5 cords so far, knocked it off my lap numerous times, spilled drinks on it 3 times. etc.

some pets just crave attention, you can't be around them if your not giving them attention or else they'll get in your way. My dog use to do that all the time, it's okay you can just give them a toy or something to distract them from you and then you'll be fine

Yes they are I think. They are 54 and 80 lbs Golden Retriever lapdogs. Every time I get on they lick my mouse and flop their head down on the keyboard........Here they come now!!
