I have 3 Goldens and a 9 month old Papillon. The Goldens are 5, 1 1/2 and 8 months. They are all happy healthy boys!!!! The 1 1/2 y/o, Tiny has an odd thing he does when he eats. We have to keep a towel on the floor by the food bowl otherwise he will go find one. He bites, noses and drags the towel into the food AFTER he shoves his nose into the food several times and rubs his snout on the outside of the bowl. Sometimes he will shove the food out when he does the first thing but he always covers the food up before he walks away. He has even put the whole towel into the water bowl a few times as well. If there is no towel there or where he can find it he uses any stuffed animal he can find to put over the food.....All I can say is WTF is this behavior??? It is funny to watch but I want to make sure it is not from anxiety. He is not food aggressive and has excellent reflexes. He would make a great agility and hunting dog. He is VERY in touch with his inner Retriever...lol.

Simple question...I'm an adult have had dogs before who were "fixed" but I got them after the fact so this is new territory for me.

She is 8 months old and was spayed this afternoon. The vet said I can give her water and a small treat if she hasn't vomited at all. She hasn't and I gave her a small treat but she is still trying to get more. She is rarely is hungry enough to hunt for more. As long as it is healthy and bland (ie boiled chicken pieces) would more hurt her?

How did your dogs change after being spayed/neutered?

My son has in the past few hours developed several red bumps on his neck and a few of them have a ring or circle around them that is very pale. I checked his bedding it is fine. He has not been outside so they are not bug bites and we have no fleas hopping in the house. He has had his chicken pox shot. Oh and he threw up once this morning but is keeping food down now and has no fever. Before anyone gets nasty and says call the doc like I am a lousy mom...I did already. They just said wait.....

What could this be? My old laptop did this a few years ago and now my desktop is doing it.Nothing has been changed or reprogrammed.

I have a 4 y/o Golden Retriever who decided to rip off his dew claw. The nerve is still there INTACT. The bleeding is coming from where the nail came out of his leg. I can't get to the vet right now. The after hours vet is not open yet and his regular vet is closed.

I put stypic powder on it and on the gauze I put over it. I also taped it real well after applying pressure for a few minutes. Is there anything else I can do or need to do til the after hours vet opens???

I have always had dogs. Barking has always been a problem that we have been able to solve. This one though is killin me. She is a good girl but I can not get her to stop barking at everything. Kids, bikes, leaves, doorbell...everything.

I have tried everything except the shock collars. I honestly don't think that would work. She is so strong willed and hardheaded. She is trainable. She follows simple commands like sit, stay & leave it. I am at my wits end and our housing can only tolerate so much barking till we get a notice. She has plenty to do. 2 kids and a Golden to play with as well as a Jack Russell that comes over often to play as well. She gets walked.

Keeping her on a leash so I can correct her right away didn't work. Distracting her...nope. Throwing something that makes a loud noise...bust. Keeping her secluded...nope.Wearing her out...nope. I even tried a muzzle which I never thought I would ever do.

Any creative ideas??? I'm runnin out of steam on this.

I lost a dog last year due to IMO Hartz Flea Drop poisoning. It was a horrible thing to have to witness and my poor girl was in so much pain. I am trying to see if this new WONDER is safe. I have 2 other dogs and want to only use something that will not kill them.

I smashed my thumb today with a small sledgehammer. I know pain and stress can affect your blood pressure. My first pressure that was takem at the ER was 138/89. My second reading taken before release was 122/92. I have never had blood pressure problems so I have no clue if this resting blood pressure reading is odd. I usually have a blood pressure of around 110/70. When I was pregnant it was a constant 100/50.

Should the numbers be that close??? 122/92 that is....

working with docs, trainers and nutritionists

eating PERFECTLY (weighed & measured and cook properly)

remember 6 months straight!

did not loose 1 lbs or inch.....NOTHING

Don't get me wrong I felt better but ....

What could possibly be preventing weight loss???

What types of misconceptions are there where Recruiters are concerned?

Besides the lying...That is just BS....

I read a response to a question earlier in which the guy said he thinks Recruiters get paid according to how many kids they put in. That is just pure fantasy.

My husband bought the Spotbot and it just is not big enough for the needs of this household. I don't have the box or receipt so returning it is not an option.We only used 5 or 6 times and it is great just not big enough. Brand new it was $117. What would be a good fair price to sell it for?

Do I see anyone worried about the Recruiters that had their office BOMBED this morning. It may not hit home to many of you but.....

My husband is a Marine Recruiter. We are stationed in NY. we are 2 hours...only 2 friggen hours away from NYC. It is a real possibility that whoever did this could very well attack the offices closer to where we are. Do I see anyone calling for this freaks head on a platter. Do I hear anyone saying..."oh those poor families what can we do to help them?"

I have already been in contact with the offices in NYC to offer my home, time and any other help those families may need. No there was nobody hurt but that isn't much comfort to the wives or kids seeing this. There have been SEVERAL nights that my husband and his fellow Marines stayed all night to help kids study or do paperwork. I have brought breakfast in at 4 in the morning to make sure they get something to eat. There very well could have been someone in that building. We are luck there was not.

I have 3 dogs. a 12 y/o Sheltie, 4 y/o Golden and a 5 month old Pom. On Monday our vt is coming to our home to help the Sheltie stop hurting and cross over to the Rainbow Bridge.

I know having the other dogs see him afterwards will help them with the grieving process. I don't know though if them being in the room is a good idea or not.

Please no nasty comments. This is not a decision made lightly and it is breaking my heart as well as my husband's. Our dogs are our children and we love them dearly. We don't want him to be in pain any longer and I am lucky enough to have a vet who will come here where my guy is the most comfortable.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. The security settings are fine. I have been trying for 4 days now and can not figure it out...Any ideas? Oh I did have to get AFP from a stand alone DL center because everytime I tried to DL it from the Adobe site it would not DL.
