How can I get rid of my FAT 32 file on my hard drive?
I have a "c" hard drive NTFS file system and a "d" hard drive FAT32 file system. I would like to Use the 9GB from "d" and apply it to "c". My "c" drive is at 44% free and my "d" drive is at 30% free. I would like to get my "c" drive to at least 65%. Can you please help me?

I know what you what to accomplish, but the problem with Fat 32 "is" that if you convert it the amount of space you will get will be alot less than what you already have. I modify and build my own computers and "use" 2 hard drives generally on them in case one hard drive freezes up I have the other one in place to repair the other, plus use it as backup. I have had network, Fat 32 and even Fat 16 and conversions in formating a network and Fat 32 drive to a 16 whines up being like it wasn't even worth the effort. Instead I buy or get another used computer and pull the hard drive with over 4 GB or more as a "second" for backup. I have not yet bought Vista so I don't go with 15 GB on up yet. Most say you can't "copy" Windows from one to the other but you really "can" if you know the language and "how" to go about it. Email me at suarezelec2002@yahoo.com and will tell you "how" as this information is restricted by MIcrosoft.

"Important
You must create the placeholder file using the fsutil file createnew command prior to running convert. Convert does not create this file for you. Convert overwrites this file with NTFS metadata. After conversion, any unused space in this file is freed. For more information about the fsutil file command, see Related Topics."
