What all-terrain radial tires are the best for my truck?

I have a 2005 Silverado Z-71 extended cab. It is all factory right now, no modifications. I would like to have some tires that are wider and more aggressive than the street tires currently on there, but I rarely go off-road. When I do, it's on fire lanes and the like... no need for super-swampers. Maybe a leveling kit and larger tires? The size right now is P265/70/R17.

BFG All-Terrain T/A KO are great tires. I had them on my last truck and they were great. They got great traction in sand and snow, but rode good on road. I got over 50K miles out of them. As soon as the tires wear out on the truck I have now I am going to get another set. Your truck can fit a tire up to LT285/70R17 safely, so it's up to you what size to go with. A leveling kit and the size tire I have listed will be great for your truck. Here is a link to get more info on the BFGs.

I would use any Bridgestone (Revo) or any Michelin AT tires. Generally quite and good mileage. Stay away from off brands as many are made in china and have poor quality or safety issues. My independant tire dealer will not sell them because they are not safe and warrenty support is poor. I only use these brands on my pickups and family cars.

bfg radial ta s are hard to beat. ive got sets on 2 chevy pickups right now. they are very good traction wise, but not noisy. you can have the torsion bars turned to level it out, as most chevys are low in the front. most of them can be raised about 2 inches this way
