You will notice a lot of copyrighted material on Youtube. Generally speaking, most copyright owners will file a DMCA takedown notice with Youtube to have the material removed. Some copyright owners just let it go, for one reason or another.
In addition, the copyright owner can sue you for copyright infringement. However, in most cases there's a good chance the copyright owner won't take the time or expense to go after you for copyright infringement. That said, I wouldn't try to test that theory, however.

In most countries (but not all) posting of copyrighted material without the owner's permission is considered "broadcasting" (which is a forbidden action). U can use small snippets of copyrighted works without permission for review, educational, and discussion purposes however. Keep in mind that the intricacies of copyright law vary greatly from country to country. U would need to check the laws of your country (or the laws of the hosting site's country...I think youtube is located in United States).

I don't think so. They might delete your video, though. Particularly if the copyrighted material is owned by Viacom. Anything other than that is unlikely to be deleted. I think you have put a disclaimer, though, like "Disclaimer: I do not own this copyrighted material. Someone else does."

I've heard you can be. It's scary to think of. Did you give the copyright owner credit?

No, Youtube will take it off long before that'll happen. I would still recommend putting credits in your video or in the details.

i think as long as you name the source in the title or description youre fine, otherwise there'd be thousands of people getting sued over that.

Apparently youtube lets a lot of copyright stuff onsite.... other sites just reject it, they don't sue.

If you are anyone big enough (with deep enough pockets $$$) to sue, then yes, probably.
