I have a new house with mostly ceramic tile floors. Sweeping is a pain,anyone have any ideas on alternatives?

    I think the swiffer sounds like the way to go. But if you get chunky stuff an electric broom or stick vac. I think the grout between the ceramic tile is the worst.

    Sweep with a regular broom to get up large chucks first, then use the swiffer. You may need to use a duster to clean some corners well, or a sweeper with a hose attachment will get under counters and in corners better.

    Because the swiffer won't pick up all of the dust as a sweeper will, you may want to wipe down the baseboards with a wet rag or a rag lightly sprayed with pledge

    I had a lot of ceramic in my last place too, never again. I hated all of the sweeping and mopping. Our cleaning ladies would vacum it. My vacum doesn't work on hard floors though.

    Use a vaccum; it's faster and less work. You will need to mop once a week if not more though depending on the traffic pattern.

    buy a swiffer sweeper they collect alot of dust and dirt and they work great i love mine.
