my cat's nose is coming off?

My 1 year old bengal cat's nose is peeling. It was fine in the summer; it started in mid-autumn, but it doesn't seem to bother her so I haven't really done anything. What's wrong?

Hi there...I have a Bengal who had suffered for 1.5 years since he was a kitten from the same problem. I had contacted many resources to see if this was a common occurence. From what I've discovered it isn't uncommon, however no one has any medical recommendations for curing the symptom. I was told that some cats will grow out of this so in the meantime I used vitamin E capsules to keep my cat's nose moist. Now that he's a little over 2 years old his dry/chapped nose has healed on it's own.

Please consider ringing your veterinarian and discussing your Bengal's symptoms and they can determine if you bring her in to be evaluated and treated respectively.

If you can afford to buy a Bengal cat why are you posting this online to strangers who can't diagnose your cat instead of going to the vet? And why on earth have you waited since MID-AUTUMN to have it looked at?

Has your cat been drinking enough water? This could be a sign of dehydration, which could indicate an underlying disorder. I would take your cat to the vet.
