If it was possible for a benevolent, constitutional monarchy to replace the current representative democracy that we have now with all its serious problems, would you or would you not? Why?

Obcourse Yes!,Monarchy form of Govt. can be the best way to prevent corruption and good governance in the sense that the monarch is really born and prepared for the leadership. And also this form of govt. can save appropriations for different branches.

I would prefer to have a monarchy as a replacement for democracy if this will help prevent the serious problems that we have now. We need a monarch to lead the country.

ONly if somewhere in the constitution it said that the leader had to serve the people, and of course, had a clear list of clarifications (i.e.- no torture, etc.)
Bad government is bad government- no matter how you mask it. Same with good.

No. We may all have different Ideas as to whats right but I think that democracy allows all to have a voice that otherwise would not
& I dont believe that a "benevolant constitutional monarchy" is possible because absolute power IS absolute power even if it started out good. Power is a heady wine.

They were the lost twelve disciples with their regal crown and landmarks out there who was lost with time.
When they were suppose to rule and leading in guiding the survival and advancement of living human kind.
But their disciples can run the fields for them.
They just be the shepherd in keeping watch over their flocks.
The blunders and slip-ups with human errors was created back in the past that crept out in time being expose after the mystery of us-911.

I would say that the biggest problem with the current representative democracy is the nepostism that occurs in the government. The fact that politicians are reelected over and over, and they think they are above the lawis the real problem. So my answer is no a monarchy is worse the problem with the current government is that the politicians believe they are kings and queens.
