How do you say "Happy New Year " in Lebanese??

You asked how we do it in Lebanese:

We Say

"Happy New year" or

"Bonne Annee" now because we use the english or french wording we say also

"kil sineh w inteh salem" (we say this also on Birthdays) you can say

"Kil sineh w inteh(female) inta (Male) tayeb",

"tin3ad 3alyk Bil khair wil sou77a" or

"tin3ad 3alyek bil kair wil barakeh"

and the list is long

But Lebanese people really like French so you can just say it in French

Tayeb means fine

Bekhair means well

so i think literally it means

i hope all your years are fine/well

the most common translation for happy new year is "kel sene wa enta bekheir" most of the lebanese use this sentence. and i wish u happy new year too, hope u find peace and happiness in 2008 frances.
