Sam Adams commercial, Illegal in 11 states?
on the commercial all you here is its illegal in 11 states, anyone know what their talking about ?????

I haven't seen the commercial but I could hazard a guess maybe that they are talking about the availability of some of their stronger beers like Utopias? The commercials probably run nationally but many states have laws prohibiting beer of higher ABVs. For some the cut off is as low as 6% ABV, some will sell it but only via the state, while others draw the line around 12% ABV and Utopias is like 23% or something like that.

I haven't seen the commercial, but it is Utopias, by Sam Adams. Their most recent brewing (2007) brings it out at 27% alcohol by volume. And that makes it illegal in 14 states.
