Do you have an opinion that you're childishly stubborn about?

Question

We all have opinions. Sometimes, these opinions are shared by others. Sometimes they're not, and we're told that it's best just to accept that. But is there a particular opinion on which you just can't stand it when other people disagree with you? I'm not necessarily talking about controversial issues (like abortion). I'm mostly talking about petty likes and dislikes; things where you don't have a convincing argument against it other than "'Cuz I said so!" but you think it anyway. What is this opinion? How do you deal with it? Do you passively wish harm upon those who dare think such vile thoughts? Or do you whine and kvetch about it? 

I'll post my own childish opinion later, but for now, I'd like to see what you all say. Have fun!

Oh yes. I'm usually very good with the controversial topics or any other random thing. But I'm terrible with anything having to do with music. I've got my tastes and opinions and I'll just argue and argue with anyone who disagrees with me. I actually threw someone out of my house once for saying that Eddie Van Halen was the greatest guitar player ever. I made point after point of why he wasn't and I just got so mad that I eventually told the guy to leave. It was really ridiculous. I really do hold that opinion childishly close - I do kind of want to throw things at people who think this way. I know deep down inside they have the right to think it, I just don't understand it and I hate him so much. I feel really silly right now, like I've got to get a grip. But I also feel a bit better for venting.

Ohh politics...hehe. The war, gay marriage, sex education, and health care are things that I will never waiver on, and the difference is that I don't just say "cuz I said so"; I get up in the disagreer's face and give my reasons, oh yes, I have them and they're good! I never whine about how others think differently, though I do get annoyed at people who form opinions based on feelings or made up "facts" rather than truth and statistics placed right under their nose. As for wishing harm... well there are a *few* stupid people who spout dumb opinions that I wish might get run over by a bus :)

great question! and yes, i do. I am completely and utterly stubborn about any political opinions that i have.  if i support a candidate and you don't....well, you're just wrong!! enough said! if i think there should be legal gay marriage and you don't - you're, once again wrong!! if you think the war is great - well you're EXTREMELY wrong (no, no, don't try to argue...i won't hear it)....

AND...if you think George Bush is a horrible horrible president....

I have one....and I have seen it soo much today in Q&A, and it really bothers me. People that are so busy, sticking their nose in other peoples business and feel they need to somehow create hate and discontent in that other person's world. People,..mind your own business! If you spent as much energy on your own life as you do on other people's lives, think of how good YOUR LIFE could be!....Okay,...Thanks,...I feel so much better now!..(*-*)
