How to handle a speeding ticket in New York State?

I got caught in a speed trap. 59 in a 40...

I have a clean driving record until now.

Should I plead NOT guilty and send in the ticket with a copy of my driving record?

Should I go to court?

How much is the fine if I were to plead GUILTY and just pay?

Update:

So you suggest I should just plead guilty and send in the ticket. The result would be a fine. How much is the fine?

If you don't live in NY State, coming back to try to fight the ticket will only have you spending more money than the fine will probably cost. The price of the fine should be on the back of the ticket, stating how many miles over the limit you were going and what the fine amounts to. If you live in the state or relatively closeby and you want the fight the tickets, there are certain ways to fight speeding tickets. If the cop does not show up they will dismiss the tickets. If you want to know some of the ways to get out of speeding tickets,a sk me off line.

The question is do you appear in court and request drivers school to lower the points or fines!

There is no question as to your guilt!
