In Pirates Of The Carribean 1...?
At the begining of the movie, Elizabeth took one of the Azteck coins from Will (you know when they were sailing and found young Will floating). She kept it in her room. Why wasn't SHE cursed? I mean, she had the cursed coin, why didn't she become cursed like all of the rest who took something? Please answer
but Bootstrap Bill wasn't cursed! that is why they threw him off of the ship in the first place. he didn't like what they did to jack. so he got thrown off the ship before they found the treasure.

I personally believe you only recieved the curse, if you took it from the chest. If Elizabeth was cursed, then young will should be cursed as well because his dad gave him the coin. I think you can give the coin away, but as Jack took the coin from the chest, he got cursed.

She wasn't a pirate, she didn't have pirate blood in her and she didn't take the coin from the cursed chest. The coin belonged to Will and the coin wasn't one of the cursed coins because it was given to Will at birth, probably from one of his parents! The coin was the coin to put Will's blood on to the cursed coins to lift the curse, but it wasn't a cursed coin to begin with

You were only cursed if you took it from the chest.
Example : At the end Jack took one from the chest, he was curse and he put his blood on it and put it back.
Will wasn't because he didn't take it from the chest itself, it was a gift from his father who took it.

she didnt take the coin from the chest. whoever takes the coin from the treasure chest is cursed, not whoever touches it.

I think it was because she wasnt the original person who took it. It was Will's dad. That's why Will wasnt cursed either.

that is actually a really good question! i never thought about that.. but she should have been cursed! i really dont know the answer. but hopefully someone answers this cuz i wanna know too now!!
