Go to the music store and look under world music for african music.

go to http://music.download.com/ and it has a world music section, you should be able to pick and choose til you get to africa.
Now, there are some songs you can't download, but if you have firefox, you can get an extension called videodownloader, and it should be able to detect the media when you play it, and allow you to download it.
