Why do we always see the popular drivers leading at daytona and talladega in the front of the pack?
Like Dale Jr, Stewart, Jarrett, Kenseth, Edwards, Kurt Busch, Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Kahn, Sadler,Martin, Waltrip, Hamlin, Gilliland, Mike Wallace, Bobby Labonte, Jamie Mcmurray, and other popular drivers. I used to see Ken Schrader in the front of the pack back in the 90's. I don't see the un popular drivers leading at Daytona or Talladega. What you think

It all depends on where they start, and when "the big one" hits. There will be a lot of different drivers up front this year, I think.

Technically, lately..a lot have chosen the Dale Jarrett method of hanging back until halfway! ALL Hendrick drivers(except Kyle), Stewart, A few Rousch drivers and JR all did it in the fall race. You got 2 choices...hang back and try to avoid the big one, or be up front!

guy.. there are maximum of lead adjustments and different lap leaders @ Daytona, and Talladega it is not even humorous.. you notice the adult adult males hardly triumphing, greatest laps and dealing close to the front each and all the time @ those 2 tracks.. Get genuine.. Your thinking approximately F1

The reason they are popular is because they are good. Darn good a matter of fact. Kenny Schrader is a good driver, here lately he hasnt really been driving for any top notch teams so he has been struggling.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy. Good drivers run up front. Good drivers become popular. Popular drivers get large sponsorships and their choice of great teams. Good drivers with good sponsors and good teams run up front and win most of the races.

The reason they are popular is because they lead or win a lot of races. Think about the non popular drivers...why are they not popular, because they aren't very good. Definately not trying to be a smart butt, just stating the obvious.

Everybody leads at the superspeedways. Most of the ones you mentioned above tend to finish at the top because they know how to race restrictor plate races, have earned the respect of their fellow drivers and are usually in good equipment.

Those drivers you listed (most of them anyway) are popular because they are great racers. Great racers lead races and are at the front of the pack. Simple math here.
