Having computer problems. Help!?
Okay well I'm having two computer problems:
1) Whenever I turn on my computer and log on, a message that kind of looks like this comes up:
Cannot open file C:\Documents and Settings\all users\Application Data\IKL\IKL.dll
It's something like that, I can't exactly remember what it says. but if you know how to get rid of this, please tell me!
2) Another thing, I just recently got comcast internet and now I've been getting random pop-ups every few minutes and they will just not go away. I have the pop-up blocker on, but that doesn't do anything. If you know how to fix this, please tell me!
Thanks!

I won't get best answer for this, (and normally I'm careful! lol look at my percentage!) But I just wanted to post and tell you that "shwaavay" is 100% correct in his post.
It's simply THAT bad, and you need to see to these issues promptly. Do all the credit card cancelling that he suggests, and as soon as possible..
I strongly suggest that you use the Spyware removal that JTB links to, but I would get it through a friend's computer, because yours needs to come offline immediately. Download it, get it on a disk/CD whatever, and then install it at home.
If you don't have access to another machine to download the removal tool, take your computer somewhere like best buy, and give them a print-out of the answers on this question. (or at least " IKL.DLL " ) and explain that you have a keylogger on your system and need them to download a removal tool for you, and install it on your machine without connecting to the internet with your machine at all.
If nothing else, their "Geek Squad" could probably come through for you relatively quickly.
The pop-ups may be related to the keylogger, but if not.. you need Spyware detection software, FROM A TRUSTED SOURCE.
I trust Microsoft products (they have a free one called defender). Trend Micro's house call might work for you, but it requires you to be online to use it. Symantec, Norton, and Macafee are also trusted, but I've had other problems from those sources.
Trust online is important... you downloaded a keylogger and installed it, (or someone on your system did). I can guarantee it didn't come from one of the sources I listed above.. If you Googlee for anitspyware stuff, you CAN run into sites that are distributing viruses and keyloggers of their own and install another one without realizing it.
Please stick with one of the one's I mentioned here.
Best of luck to you. Please give credit where it's due, and give Shwaavay best answer.. I'm just picking up where they left off. :)

A quick google search on that ikl.dll indicates that it is a keylogger.
I would suggest you unplug from the internet IMMEDIATELY as your sensitive passwords and banking info may be compromised!
As soon as possible get to a good computer and go online and change ALL of your passwords. If you have ever made a purchase on your computer, cancel your credit cards and contact your bank about automated funds transfers.

I had a recent error like that, it seems like an error with your registry.
Or it could be a virus hidden in a file which was my delima.
Scan your computer with spyware and & anti-virus programs. Get a free registry cleaner and defragment your hard-drive. That will help get things back to normal, if you still expereince the error you might need some professional help.

1) The EXACT error message is important when seeking help. Please repost with the exact error message so we can offer better advice.
2) Do you have any kind of anitvirus or antispyware software on your computer? If so - do a thorough scan and see if that helps the popups. If not, download Microsoft Defender (free from Microsoft) and run a scan with that.
Good luck!

um for the pop up message at start up one of your computer files is ither corrupt or damage... u can try to restore your computer to an erlaier date that it didnt work using system restore located in your help and suport center, and for the pop ups you have a program that has spyware like kazza... if u dont know what it is you cant try using a spyware removing program like spysubtract from intermute.com. it gives you a free 30 day trial but its the full version. it worked nicely for me.

Sounds like you have missing file commands and broken links. You'll need to clean up your computer or re-install your windows program to fix it properly. And the pop-up thing. Check your firewall settings and get Norton's anti virus protection. That worked for me.

for the pop ups you might want to get a pop up blocker instead of the one you have. like a better and faster and more higher program. good luck

1. You must have deleted something that was used by your computer.
2. You have a trojan or some sort of spyware.
Solution
You can always reformat your computer.
You can download to spybot search and destroy and adware to get rid of the pop ups.
Hope this helps!
